Not too sure where to put it so I thought it would be moved to the proper spot soon.

In January 99 I lost my best friend ... now, I dreadfully never got to say good-bye to this person and I think that I feel them around me and all that jazz but is there any way that I could get him to show himself so I could say good-bye maybe talk to him one last time ... I am new and don't really know where this would belong or if it is possible w/out using some form of black magic and I don't really want to do that... I just want to say good-bye and yes it has been haunting me since January of 99. Part of it is b/c the fire set on his house has not been resolved as to arson or an accident and I kinda would like to know what happened... I think part of me just wants to know what happened and if I should keep on hurting like I have been.

Neptune,
In my opinion you don't have to use any magic at all to speak your piece. You say you already feel your friend around you...that is your "proof". Speak and know you will be heard. Also, I tend to think that once we pass from this physical life, we really forget about mundane things. The cause of the fire and who may or may not have started it is probably not a concern of your friends. Knowing those answers wouldn't likely change anything.

I am sure your friend hears you already...so just spill it! Good luck!

Im with Semele on this one....if you just talk to him you will be heard.

Using magick to make a spirit manifest could defiately end up worse than better.

I have a personal experience when I called someone to me (not using magick..in another form) who wasnt yet ready to speak for whatever reason. Things became quite bad for a while, because in my eagerness and need for things to be resolved I didnt consider this person who had passed on enough. I made my own bed with that one and I learnt from it.

Just talk to your friend as if he was there nad chances are he may come to you himself and talk.

Hi, I moved this to M&R since that's where we usually talk about spells and rituals and stuff and maybe someone will see it here and have ideas (I know some people don't read JT). Tho I do agree with what's already been said I don't have anything to add.

This happened in 1999, right?

Have you talked to the responding Fire Dept? I work in a Fire Dept. and information like this should be public record. (at least in my State) If it's still under investigation though, it might be another matter, but I would think that if it happened in 1999 they should know something by now.

If you've already done this, then please excuse this reply, I'm just trying to help!!

Investigation closed and it is declared undetirminded.

I have been able to communicate with my father, deceased, a couple of times when I felt his presence. I simply spoke out loud to him. It only seems to work when I feel his presence strongly, I can't make it happen.

Hope this helps!

In my opinion if it were an arson, they would have known. In the 9 years I've worked at a Fire Dept. I have seen lots of fires with the causes marked "undetermined."

Arson is usually much more obvious. There are pragmatic devices that can sense even the smallest amount of accelerant (gas, kerosene, etc.) An investigator can usually tell when a fire has been intentionally set. For someone to set a fire and then have an investigator to NOT recognize it as arson, that person would have to be a very gifted arsonist, IMO.

The fact that they have labeled the fire "undetermined" would lead me to believe that it was NOT arson.

This is just my opinion, for what it's worth. I'm not a firefighter or investigator, but I do work with them, and I know the arson investigator very well, and there's not much that slips past him!

Hope this helps!

They didn't do too much investigating of the fire IMO they were barely out there and did not care too much one way or the other. They said that they have thier suspicions (sp) that it was arson but they were not going to investigate it any further. That pissed me off, and his mother just let it go.

That's just a nightmare. I just can't imagine how they can get by with doing their job so sloppily!

Well, since you're probably not going to get any real answers from the FD, I think you should trust your inner feelings and intuition. You're obviously thinking about your friend very much. I truly believe that we are all connected, the living and the dead. Talk to your friend. Tell him how much he/she meant to you and how much you wish you could have said goodbye. I don't think you need magick to do this. Your friend probably already knows exactly how you felt about him, and that's why you get the sense of him being near. I know exactly how you feel, having lost both parents and more recently a friend. I never got to say goodbye to my father or my friend, but eventually I had dreams about them both.

My father told me that he hated the idea of being "dead,"
and in my dream with my friend, I asked him what it was like to die. He kind of chuckled and said, "well, a lot of things happen at once." I've never told anyone about this before, but I just hope it helps you somehow. I think the dead are not as far away from us as we are lead to believe. The bonds of love never die or diminish.

Hugs,

Squiddy

Thanks Squidy and everyone ... I have been thinking about him a lot due to recent situations in my life where he was the only one I had to turn to for a loving hug, ear and support. Right now I am not really in that situation where I have no one... I just feel that he is the only one who will fully understand b/c he was there when the whole thing began. I guess part of me is living in the past, but I just have been feeling kinda lost as of late.
