View Full Version : You know there's a lot of negativity in the room when...

Finally working on getting my house cleaned out and cleared out from all the negativity of the fights with my husband, the tears, and the pain of the separation. One of the ways that I do this is to place an egg on my altar to absorb negativity. After a week, I bury the egg, allowing the negativity to go into the Earth. I then put a new egg on the altar. I had not done this in a very, very long time. I've been distracted, and hadn't paid nearly enough attention to my practice. Placed the egg this morning. By afternoon it exploded. _whistle_ Yeah... I think there was a bit of backed up negativity going on here....

Just a bit, I'd say ! :T:T:T

I would do a full fledged cleansing if I were you and then set the atmosphere afterwards with incense of your choosing. You would be amazed at the difference.

That's the plan! I'm starting with physically cleaning the whole place, and getting all of my husband's stuff boxed and ready to go to his new place so he can get it out of here. Don't care if he takes the negativity with him, he's the cause of a great deal of it anyway.

Then I'm rearranging, get the energy flowing a bit better

Then a full cleanse with every trick I know. This place will be so empty of energy when I get done with it...

Then come in, start all over, and set the tone for this place the way I want it to be. Peaceful, relaxing, inviting.

Y'know, I'm a bit weird, because the idea of doing that just sounds wonderful to me. I can just imagine how great your place will feel afterwards. It makes me want to sigh in relief just reading about it.

I'm actually excited about it! I can clear out the old, get the place the way I've always wanted it to be, and have fun while I'm at it!

Sounds like a plan! Not everyone understands that you cleanse a place (or an item) of negative energy you need to replace it with more positive energy - otherwise any kind of energy will come rushing back in to fill the void (nature abhors a void eh) and some of may be the same old negative energy flowing back to where it was before.

I'm so glad you're making this change, wish I had done it as soon as I finally worked up the nerve to kick my ex to the curb.

It's actually very, very basic. Empower an egg to absorb negative energy, and then place it on your altar, or another prominent place in the room. You can also place one in each corner of a room, or in each of the quarters.

Replace the egg(s) after a week. DON'T EAT THEM. You'd be surprised at how silly people can be... I take the eggs and bury them in Earth, and plant something over them. This allows the Earth to recycle any negative energy into something positive.

I'm going to buy some potted plants this week to start burying my eggs in. It will recycle the energy, AND make my house prettier :D

Definitely have to fill that void. Do NOT want that negativity coming back, nor do I want OTHER negativity coming back. I'm buying several oil lamps to start some ongoing spells for health, prosperity, and peace. Also buying some potted flowers to get energy recycling better.

Going to have incense going at all times when I'm home, and have various oil blends ready for necessary use at a moments notice.

One reason eggs work so well in this kind of working is that the shells are porous, or permeable. Some gasses can enter the shell and other gasses can leave the shell. Egg shell is also permeable to light and some moisture. Clearly this allows the negative energy to enter the egg shell and become enmeshed in the protein inside the egg.

I've never heard of that! That's wild! You know what though aranarose? It sounds like you don't need to try and fill it with positive energy, just having a sense of fun about making the place all yours is gonna be the natural filler! I've found that a physical cleansing, some incense and opening windows to let the fresh air in, works wonders for me.

*Nod* I love using eggs to soak up energy. They are a brilliant tool to use. One more thing, don't break the egg shell. If you have to, don't do it around the area you've just cleansed.

Fill an egg, the energy experiences rebirth. It's sucked into the cauldron of re-creation. Grounded out into a black hole like space. The egg spontaneously absorbs the nutrients around it.

You can also work intentionally to ground it into the ground or a rock that you throw into moving water, where it will be recycled just the same, but the egg does it naturally and without your concentration.
