Hi All,

Mars is about to go retrograde which it does every 2.5 years. Mars is not subtle and Mars retrogrades are often dramatic times for whatever part of your scope they happen in. Please share your experiences with this Mars RX here. Where is 12* Cancer in your scope (post your chart if you don't know and we will tell you) and also where is Gen 23*. Mars has just gone over this ground and now Mars is going to go BACK over it. From November 15 to January 30 2008, we will be stalled in some sense.

From: http://www.astrologycom.com/marsret.html

On November 15, 2007, Mars reaches his retrograde station, in preparation for a period of retrograde motion which will last until January 30th, 2008. On top of that, the effects of the retrograde period will continue to be felt until he returns in direct motion on April 4th, 2008 to the degree where he first made his station (12° Cancer 27'). The first beginnings of the effect take place from October 20, as Mars begins to slow, so prepare for issues to cloud, especially if you have strong Cardinal Sign placements in your chart. The Cardinal Signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.

13°Cancer is in my 9th house, with no planets within that area. It is within 2° of my MC. This aught to be interesting. Wonder what I'm gonna take on here. MUH! Was thinking of going back to university, hummm wouldn't be a bit surprise to see that started here. That would be about the time that this comes along for Winter Session.

and since it has been in it's retrograde zone toward the retrograde station, it isn't surprising to find me THINKING about it. However, things are coming at me so fast that I can't quite get my arms around it. I guess that stuff will cease at the retrograde station, and I can take a breath and get my arms around what needs to happen to get back into university. That is nice to think about.

Hi Shantril,

We are both taking on facilitating this Mystic Wicks Astrology salon right before Mars goes Retro too. This Mars RX happens in my 3rd and 2nd Houses - not nearly as dramatic as having it tickle your Midheaven. Looking forward to watching how this plays out for you.

Last Mars RX happened right on my Ascendant and rehashed my 12th House. It was a testing time to say the least. Mars RX over the angles are more difficult and/or wonderful. Circumstances beyond our control are common, of course - "fated events" or being forced to stop, or vacation!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From: http://www.astrologyweekly.com/astrology-articles/mars-retrograde.php
The best way to use the Mars retrograde period is to make plans, to work on details and then to wait the end of this period in order to materialize them. People should relax, study, take care of their health, do some yoga exercises or practice other techniques that use the internal or spiritual energy. The keyword of the period is patience. One just has to wait for it to pass in order to gets things done.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Generally Mar RX is NOT a good time to start anything. Either start something before Mars turns and then nurse it quietly during the retrograde - or prepare quietly during the retrograde and then start something come Spring.

Friends,

On September 15 07 Mars was at 23* Gemini. What was happening for you then? Now, two months later, Mars is going to stop and slowly rewind...back to 23* Gemini on January 30, 08. Then you will start again, after a profound period of studying up, changing, waiting, transforming, coping, dealing, or relaxing.... Again, Mars RX is not subtle. Sometimes big things happen on the "outer" and sometimes it "hits" the inner. Mars is the planet of war so global events could erupt too.

So planning and getting all the ducks in a row for going back to university is an expected activity for this retrograde, as long as I don't make the step across the threshold of the building until after Jan 30. :rollingla Gosh I hope it isn't a vacation, RIGHT. :rollingla

Greetings Shatril,

I just got accepted for Winter Quarter; going back to university myself! The first day of class is Jan 9, 08...still in MarsRX of course. The other big thing that has been setting up for this Mars RX has been a change in housemates. Again, Mars is backtracking through my 3rd and 2nd Houses. Mars conjunct Midheaven means you will be popular, get some radio play, or the like? Any clues about that - beyond becoming the MW Astrology hostess?

Can't precisely plan for the unexpected, other than to stay loose and trust the process.

BUT look what I found! A site that looks at Mars RX transits!

Yeah, I found that site, but not that particular post. So much to learn, so little time.

It is November 8th and Mars is moving slow about to turn around and rewind, November 15, 2007. What issues are up for you right now? In this last week before Mars goes RX, try to tie up loose ends and clear up any misunderstandings. If your car needs to get fix, fix it this week. Winterize, and stock in supplies best you can. Forgive yourself and others, make amends, return library books, do that favor you have been putting off, express you appreciation of jobs well done, and so forth.

Hi RainInana,

Mars crossed your Decendent (far right of point of scope) around Sept 15 and it has been in your 7th House. On Nov. 15 it turns and heads back to your Descendent until it gets there, January 30, 08. Then it goes forward again and you move past it all come April.

This has to do with relationship. Anything happen in that realm around Sept. 15?

http://www.cafeastrology.com/transits_marsretrograde.html

Mars Stationary Retrograde in 7th House (Nov. 15)
Partnership struggles and confrontations can come as a result of frustration and working at cross-purposes during this period. It's important to remember that you're not the only one trying hard. Give all the respect possible to what your partner puts in, even if it seems to fail, and hope that you get the same generous treatment. In this time it's trying, not necessarily succeeding, that counts -- and going back to the drawing board together can be equally as bonding as getting it right on the first try. It's not just what you accomplish, it's what you help each other work through, that cements the bonds of the heart.

Mars Stationary Direct in 7th House (Jan, 30)
Allowing your partner(s) to take the helm may not have worked out so well recently, but be of good cheer, as the future looks brighter ahead. Your patience with others will begin to pay off as they get in tune with your efforts and you can genuinely share the mutual effort. This may require some decision-making and putting more of your eggs into a single basket to make a commitment strong enough to pay off. Focus on the few, not the many, but keep a watch eye out for those who will be of future value and keep their numbers in your back pocket for a rainy day.

November 13 2007 - Mars is slow now about to turn around, on Nov. 15. What issues are UP? Get last minute things handled, because the energy is going to change and feel more "out of our control", especially delays, waiting, rehashing, tightening, recuperating, reassessing. Anything that falls away, just let it go. Let people go to, if they wish to go. Since this Mars RX happens over the holidays, make this season as simple and pure and real as you can. Help those who are worse off than you are.

RainInanna and all,

Keep us posted. Happy, or otherwise unforseen, surprises are the usual thing during Mars, RX times. Mars in Cancer has to do with home andf family for everyone. Mars can light the Yule log as bright and cozy as we have ever known, or Mars can blow things up some. Both are possible.

I found out today that a career path that I have been exploring vigorously for almost two years is a definate, "No go." That is disappointing but now my way seems clear. Plan B is beckoning me. And I just got through writing that anything that goes at this time, let it go! So bye bye all that work and hope, oh well. Bye!

I'm rather new to the field of astrology but I've been doing a bit of study.

I'm still not fully to grips with this whole business of finding out where everything is on the chart so I'm not sure how this retrograde is effecting me. Well other than the rather bad temper I seem to have developed in this last week that has no justification what so ever. It's rather good I live alone since my temper with my close family and friends has been more than a little harsh of late. I normally have a very long fuse so this is not at all like me.

I will attach my natal chart in the hope that someone with a bit more understanding can enlighten me further on how this retrograde might be effecting me

Branwen_Yr_Hardd,

Thanks for posting your chart. Mars is turning around in your Fourth House and traveling back over your Nadir (bottom angle of your scope) into your 3rd House.

From http://www.cafeastrology.com/transits_marsretrograde.html

Mars Stationary Retrograde in 4th House (Nov. 15)

Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will much else be during this period. For you, getting the foundations right will be the most important achievement, but you may have to try, try again before that becomes a done deal. Getting your inner priorities right so you don't start off half-cocked is really important, so think it through and consider all the repercussions before you take action. Even then, be willing to patiently rework it if need be. The test of success here is not a hot launch, but seeing it all safely home in the end. And remember, others are involved and can throw you off, so be careful.

Mars Stationary Direct in 3rd House (Jan 30, 08)

You are pulling out of a period that may have involved a lot of pointless thrashing about, mixed efforts involving multiple channels that required more effort than they were worth. That was unavoidable, but as you finally select who you want to deal with and what ideas to run with you'll find that you can pick up speed and really put the pedal to the metal. The key concept here is focus, as the greater pressure you apply in the area of your choice, the greater your acceleration will be. This will lead to forward developments in your bottom line and a clearer idea of what you stand for when day is done.

Here is an interesting article about this Mars RX 2007 in Cancer that applies to everyone:

http://www.cafeastrology.com/marsretrograde.html

When Mars is in its retrograde cycle, we are forced to re-assess our current projects, our approach to getting what we want, and our desire nature. Rather than directly asserting our desires, we tend towards introspection. While Mars is retrograde in the already introspective sign of Cancer, this tendency is emphasized. As well, we are likely to experience smoldering anger rather than direct and healthy expressions or outlets for frustrations. In Cancer for the most part, the sign of the crab, we tend to become more pensive and cautious, taking our time to reach our goals. If we push ahead impulsively anyhow, we run into problems, obstacles, and frustrations. Cancer rules our inner foundations as well as outer ones--our homes, domestic affairs, and relationships with family. As such, we may need to re-assess our approach to our home lives. Circumstances are likely to be such that we feel forced to do so. We are apt to feel some frustration or anxiety about our basic sense of comfort and security--our roots-- and with regards to the development of our domestic affairs. Projects may not get off the ground as planned, perhaps due to hesitation, caution, and fear of taking risks. For some of the retrograde period, Mars is retrograde in Gemini, stalling intellectual and mental initiatives.

Health issues may be a factor (especially in areas ruled by Cancer and Gemini--the lungs and stomach), and accidents a possibility throughout the Mars retrograde period. Avoid pushing matters or throwing yourself into something new.

Motives may be hard to discern for others' actions. As we consider and re-consider our actions and initiatives, we can be more indecisive than usual. Sexuality is stronger and more intense, but its outward expression may be less spontaneous than usual.

Any planet that is retrograde is an especially strong and dominant energy in our lives during the retrograde period. Because it is closest to the earth during the cycle, the energy of the planet, while dominant, is more challenging to harness in a controlled, conscious manner. This can lead to irrational behaviors and reactions, particularly since Mars rules action and initiative. Wherever you find Mars transiting your chart during the retrograde period, you could be especially preoccupied with the affairs associated with that house and/or planet. Some of us experience a lessening of interest, initiative, and enthusiasm in these areas of life during the retrograde cycle, particularly as Mars begins to slow down (in October 2007). While Mars is "moving backwards" (from November 15/07 to January 30/08), there could be some backtracking in these areas, perhaps even some losses. It's a period of review. Working on long-term projects has better results than entirely new projects.

Here is an excellent, though more advanced, article about this moment in 2007 with Saturn in Virgo while Mars in Cancer goes RX back into Gemini:

http://ezinearticles.com/?Saturn-in-Virgo-Mars-Retrograde-in-Cancer&id=614709

For Branwen it says:

Saturn’s transit thru Virgo in the 6th house has everything to do with health, pets and your everyday work. If you have Virgo on the 6th, it tells me that you are very precise about your work and that you enjoy detail. This would also say the same for health matters. You are probably a stickler for proper dietary patterns. This is all about redefining your work and health. Think your work will stay the same during the next 2 ˝ years? I don’t think so….Watch how you take on new work habits and health habits during this cycle.

Gemini on the 3rd does produce a talker and with Mars in this sector, you will be talking, talking, talking. Look for Mars to accelerate your communications with brothers and sisters, community issues and issues that have to do with where you work. Delays or a change of mind can come after November 15, 2007 as Mars goes retrograde. Keep matters light until the direct motion of Mars on January 30th, 2008.

For Shatril:

Saturn in the 12th house seems to scare some people; however it is really all about preparing for Saturn in the 1st house and a new 28 year cycle. The 12th house represents the past, the subconscious, hospitals or institutions. This is a time to let go of the baggage you have been carrying with you for the last 20 years. You may find that you need to get rid of stuff that has accumulated in your home that takes up valuable space. Same with the subconscious, its time to purge. You will feel like stripping off anything that has no meaning in your life. It is important to feel free of the past and anything that drags along with it.

Mars starts to enter your 9th house of education, legal matters, foreign affairs and philosophy in early August. Mars wants to upset the matters of this house in order to find out what is outdated and not useful. You may find yourself immersed in legal matters, or mesmerized by education or traveling too far of places. This Mars transit is important and will redefine matters of your 9th house. An important date to watch is November 15, 2007 and Jan. 30th 2008. This period can bring in a delay or you may change direction. Stay light until Jan. 30th 2008. Then move forward without interruption.

For Rain Innana:

Saturn in Virgo in the 10th house of career indicates that you have reached a high point in your career. You will be looking at redefining it during this current Saturn cycle of 2 ˝ years. If you have planets in this house, it will be more exacting. This is a time when you start to yearn for challenges and look at the possibilities for your future. You will see that you can go no farther without making some adjustments. Any thoughts you might have had about another career option will surface and need attention.

Mars transiting the 7th house of partnerships brings with it a couple of bumps in the road, especially, when you deal with relationships, partnerships, and the general public. You will find that some upsets that have to be dealt with may change your agreements with relationships or partnerships. The 7th house is a personal house, so this will be personal; however, it will leave you in a better position for the direction you are contemplating. The interesting period here will be November 15, 2007 when you start to internalize your decisions. Go easy and do not make any plans that are set in stone until Jan. 30th. 2008.

Branwen,

Right now Mars is in Cancer in your 4th house, and has been slowing down to his retrograde station. This might explain the temper with those in your family and close friends. Cancer will then retrograde tomorrow, and retrace his steps back through Cancer and hit your IC around Dec 18-19, 2007 and then pass into Gemini on New Years Day then hits is direct station on Jan 30, 2008 at about 24°5' of Gemini, and goes direct. Thank you so much for explaining that to me RedRose it makes much sense. Focus on the attainable I guess is the lesson here hu?

The last point is so very true of most of this last year to be honest for me. It's been a succession of frustrating waiting games where long periods of forced inaction have left me feeling frustrated and rather like a fish dangling on a hook. Then something will click into place and I'd feel like we were finally making some headway, then bang, another brick wall flies up in my face. The feeling of thrashing around and getting nowhere fast has been building up a deal of frustration and anger for m. Combine that with my totally inability to do anything to rectify the situation and it has meant I'm lashing out and taking my frustrations out on everyone else.

Since Mars has come closer to turning retrograde I've found that frustration and anger turning into a different animal all together. I have found myself developing a rather defeatist attitude. One of "Oh what's the point". I'm tired of fighting for everything. When even the simple everyday tasks become and endless battle anything extra just piles on and makes it more effort than I can muster to fight for the important things.

This is not me. Not the regular person I am. This personality is everything I have tried NOT to be. I know how important a positive mental attitude is for my health and I have worked my hardest to maintain that and in the past done very well with it, but in the last few weeks I have found no matter what I do the positives are slipping into a pit of despondency. I dislike myself this way, which only makes it worse.

I don't know if this is something that would match up with all these dynamic effecting retrogrades that have been happening this last year, but if it is I do hope they will settle down soon because life right now is intolerable.

Season's Greetings, Branwen and all,

I thinks we might call Mars RX the cosmic "Let Go and Let Goddess" time. How do we all feel when we can't DO anything? We feel stuck, frustrated, terror, rage and so forth. These are the down sides of Mars. Usually it is outside circumstances and people we feel out of control with, or that we can't control, or we feel threatened by, or we are out and out fighting with.

Time to put a sock in it, sit down and pray. Let it go. Let it go. Let it go. This I feel is the key to Mars RXs. In a way we are being tested on whether we can keep our tempers, and keep brave. Hold our tongue, OR express ourselves better, how about compromise?

Don't expect to get your way, rather make someone happy.

WARNING: MarsRX is in Cancer this year. This means family and family dynamics. This Holiday Season may be the one where you decide to do something different, simpler and more peaceful. Or if you have a wonderful family, encourage them to devote this holiday to helping the poor. You can't fake it with the Divine Mother (and her bodyguard. Mars, is the God of War). Cancer is the sign of HONEST caring for those in NEED. The key to being taken care of is to take care of. Let go, let go, let go....help someone else.

*nods* I can understand what you are saying here and I respect it. I have spent most of my adult life caring for others. First a regular nurse then a specialist nurse for patients with Multiple Sclerosis so I know all about caring for others.

My problem is that this year by some rather twisted turn of fate I am the one who needs caring for. I'm really not in any condition to be of much help to anyone right now including myself.

I will however take your advice on the letting go thing. Or rather I'll try, I'm not good with that and compromise is also not my strong point LOL. I tend to be an all or nothing kind of gal to be honest with you. I imagine this is in part why I'm having so much trouble with this little retrograde period. :D

I had a prime Mars RX i n Cancer last night at supper. My daughter and a friend of mine were discussing Bi-polar, and they were both going on about how these people were genetically predisposed to this condition. I pointed out that the environment had much to do with that also. Some how they both got the idea that I was challenging their superior knowledge in the subject (both are psych majors). Well they both literally started doing the how dare you challenge me thing. Both were so busy preparing their next statement that the failed to realize that I didn't say I disagreed with them, I was just pointing out the environment thing. Well they kept escalating until I ended up saying something extremely out of charater for me to my daughter and made her cry. Bad mommy. Well I felt like a B--t head. We did straighten it out eventually, but what a chore. Even when ya know it is coming it is hard to stop it. I knew exactly what was causing that, and I couldn't help myself from doing it. Surreal.

Oh, oh I hear you on that one. I've been in so many arguments just lately over the most stupid things and I'm terrible for not backing down. LOL I am trying to alter that now I know why it's happening so much but it's so hard, especially when I know I'm right about something. I took my own father to task last night for being irresponsible and loosing the mobile phone I got him three weeks ago. My own father! *blushes* It's not really my place to do that but he really is terrible about stuff like that. If it's some new fangled gadget he'll find some way to loose it or brake it. He says it's all accidents but I'm sure he just hates them and so they come to a sticky end some how or other. He's not well at the moment and he really needs a mobile so he can contact us or someone can if he gets into difficulty. He's out every morning in the fields and away from easy reach of anyone. If something goes wrong he needs that easy contact. If nothing else it's peace of mind for the rest of us at home worrying about him. I feel helpless enough at the moment as it is. I got him that phone as a means to help him and to help me feel a little less helpless. He was so off hand about it when I said "I tried to phone you today da". He said "Oh yeah I lost the phone a week ago".

Argh!!

Mind you, several friends are suffering, finally letting go of abusive relationships, or fully admitting that they are addicts and/or otherwise in need of counseling, or that their jobs suck way too bad to bear, and they are leaving them! They may be moaning, but their friends are uplifted by their changes. Yahoo! Finally!

Readers here may also be going through the kind of MarsRX where the Messanger of Death arrives, and a loved one leaves. My son in law died right as Mars stopped to turn last time, adventuring in Africa. This was my daughter's Saturn Return. I was here at MW Astrology and sharing all during that time and I felt reader's prayers so strongly.

2.5 years later, my daughter is happy, prosperous, with a new partner who isn't as likely to fall in rapids and have his body consumed by crocs this life. My deceased son in law couldn't have imagined a finer death and he assures me personally of this all the time. I have a wonderful and free cross-the-veil communication with him; like with nobody else, ever before!

If you feel broken right now, beat, forced to surrender to circumstances, like a failure, bankrupt, addicted, abused, zombied, there isn't better time to just give it up and surrender than MarRX in Cancer. Let go, and let the Great Mama heal you. Seek your Nature Spot and pray and listen for a" spell."

FROM:

http://www.aquariuspapers.com/astrology/2007/11/astrology-str-3.html

Mars tests us to get a grip on our energy and shows us how well we are demonstrating self-control or not. Mars is our "fight or flight" principle, and symbolizes what aggravates us, so beware of hasty action, argumentativeness, or impulsiveness.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Mars continues to slow down, get as much accomplished as you can since we are in a threshold zone for all that will come in early 2008. As I mentioned earlier, September was the first pass through late Gemini, and showed signals for what to expect this coming January and February 2008 when it retrogrades back into late Gemini, goes stationary direct at 25 Gemini in late January 2008, and then moves forward staying in that sign until early March 2008.
In September we had to learn, explore, exteriorize our discoveries and see what in our lives we need to prune back because of decisions made at that time. We're still making decisions, reconsidering some decisions we've already made, and finding a new emotional position regarding decisions that will be final by March 2008.
Mars entry into Cancer in October brought major reorientations, and a lot of new work to be done. This month mirrors October through the lens of the retrograde. Keep practicing demonstrating an open mind and an open heart, make adjustments and reevaluations about what needs to and do not need to be fulfilled, and keep welcoming what comes since it's consolidating recent major shifts that will be final by next Spring.
I have found that I have needed to be really careful not to get argumentative. After my first joust just after the 15th, I have held a tight rein on my tounge. I've got more work, and it is coming in weird spurts, but, Mo Money, MoMoney, Mo Money.
I've had some experiences with impulsive buying, which seems to fit nicely with this time of the retrograde. So I believe that we can safely say that Shatril is mapping the Mar's Retrograde to the T.
It is Dec. 13 and MarsRX is at 6* Cancer. Time to wake up and see if we cn feel (or feel if we can see) the energy shift as Mars returns to Gemini. Why will this be rather like a meta-Mercury Retrograde?
because mars is going into gemini?
branwen, you and i have the same ascendant, though yours is 1 degree later than mine, and your IC/MC axis is 3 degrees earlier than mine. with us having aries rising, mars is our ruler, so we have no escape from the effects of this retrograde.
i just realized as i was reading this thread that i returned to mysticwicks right on the moment when mars crossed back into my 3rd house. jupiter also happens to be conjunct my natal neptune so i think it was a combination of needing to share my thoughts and feeling a strong pull toward the mystical/spiritual that brought me back here.
How can you determine where these things are in your chart right now?
(she says, a little overwhelmed with all the info available and a lil lost)
you can make a chart at astro.com that shows you.
from the main page, go to 'more free horoscopes'
from there choose ;extended chart selection'
when you select the type of chart you want, choose natal chart and transits
here's your transits for today, the transiting planets are the green ones on the outside
Punxzen and all,
Yes! This next month (particarly these next two weeks) may well feel like a big Mercury Retrograde because MarRX is going back into Gemini (and Gemini is like that). Today Dec 23, 2007, MarRX is at 3* Cancer. For those who are buying gifts for people this season, I pray you bought them early. Consider staying home and making or baking gifts - or give coupons. Drive carefully. Put off signing any contracts until the end of January. Stay calm and go slow. Try not to be impatient. Loosings keys, missing calls, having to backtrack, forgetting your wallet at the gym, computer, stereo and phone problems....take it all with Grace. These are simply annoyances, not biggies. MarsRx is a test time and anything that is stuck will move soon.
Also think back to the end of September 2007. This was when Mars going forward crossed from Gemini into Cancer. Issues that came up then are being rehashed now, and then in January Mars will go over this spot one more time and that will be that!
OK, I guess that trip I wanted to make to buy a new book won't be happening today!!! Wow. :T We are under snowstorm warnings until tomorrow. There hasn't been much of anything except very high winds, which turned our past few days of rain into sheets of ice in places. I have been toying with the idea of going to get the book, I don't have many times with no kids to do things like this- there are places that are just not good to take two toddlers into. Barned and Noble is one of them. I was reluctant to go because I drive a big van, winds higher than 20 mph make it very difficult to drive, our winds have been over 50 mph today, I just read on another forum where the wind knocked my sisters bathroom window right out of the house ( ShaylaK on MW) . We have occasional 70 + mph winds today. The snow isn't supposed to get bad until later this evening. I kept thinking, just GO, I normally don't buy much for myself, too many other things more important. I have been catching up reading while still toying with the idea until I read this page! I guess I will spend the storm reading up, as long as we don't lose power, we had it blink already. _inabox_. So, I guess I stay home and visit here instead. I am getting so many bookmarked pages, it will take forever to read up on all of them!!
Hi RainInnana,
See how Mars in the sky is going through your 7th House? This is about your one on one relationships. It is Libra-like. Deep relationship and soul union with a mate are more 8th House. The 7th House is a lot about all your best connection and also your enemies.
You may be learning to deal with people differently, to be more adroit, more or less assertive, as needed.
Hi All,
Mars is about to go retrograde which it does every 2.5 years. RedRose
Interesting thread. A little point of correction though. Mars, as with all the other planets except mercury and venus, goes retrograde every year. Retrogrades coincide with when a planet is about to start being opposite the sun.
The differences are mercury which go retrograde 3 times a year and venus . . . I can't remember how often venus goes retro.
mars is special, according to wikipedia, it goes retrograde for 72 days every 25.6 months http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retrograde_and_direct_motion#Apparent_retrograde_motion
i follow mars pretty close since it's my ruling planet, so i know mars was direct for all of 2006, and all the way to mid november this year. it last went direct in early december of 2005, about 2 weeks after uranus went direct. that moment saw me move from dallas to a life on the road til uranus went retrograde again the next summer, and i settled into a farm on kauai. i came home when mars came conjunct with uranus, immediately left again for ohio until mars crossed into my first house which is when i came home to dallas once again and began to get settled in. mars has now been hanging out around my 4th house cusp since late september, and since that time the stability of my domestic situation has been under fairly constant assault, though that assault has completely stopped since mars went retrograde. it's just the calm in the eye of the storm though, ill be moving again in the spring.
Hi Plumedsnake,
Yes you are right about being wrong about Mars. Thankfully Mars only goes retrograde every 2.5 year-ish because frankly, MarsRX can be a bit of a drag - literally.
Today MarsRX is at 1* Cancer on it's way back into Gemini! Again everyone, be careful and stay grounded. Control your mouth as needed.
Ha, today MarRx is at 0*Cancer and the phone rang at 7am. My husband had been expecting a call from truck drivers delivering an out of town friend's pickup truck from Alaska. They were suppose to call us the day before they arrived to give some warning. But no, they call when they got here and woke up the house. And turns out they had no ramp to drive the truck off the semi and they wanted my husband to call a flat bed tow truck to get the pickup off the semi. Fine, except we are broke at the end of the month and the banks aren't open anyway and the friend didn't leave us any $. So we get another friend involved to help with $ and I start calling for a tow, but 5 companies fail to answer their phone. Turns out there are two early morning huge pile ups on two local Hwys. Finally I get hold of a tow company, but their computers are down....
GOOD MORNGGGGINNNGGG!
Three hours later, everything is handled. I enjoyed meeting the truck drivers and the tow truck driver and knowing that it was a MarRx going into Gemini sort of day, helped keep me calm and in good humor. Usually stuff happens at the beginning of a transit. That wasn't so bad.
Hi Punxzen,
One of the things I find impossible about using astrology to predict things is that I can never say whether a transit will bring a blessing or a challenge. Nor can I say whether it will be an inner or outer blessing or challenge. I merely can predict that SOMETHING will happen and it will have a certain quality to it. Astrology is like the mapping the weather. Sometimes rain is a miracle blessing and sometimes rain is a flood of despair - all depends.
I have a Mercury RX natally and I tend to have everything work out during Mercury RX periods and otherwise life is one big juggling act.
Happy Mars is sending you blessings!
MarsRX still hanging at 0*Cancer and we are watching the energy and challenges shift. This will impact different people in different ways. Cancer, no matter what House, is deep into family dynamics. Gemini is fun. But it can also be scattered and too fast, prone to accidents and losing stuff and being the Fool! MarRx through Gemini can test our abilities to network and learn and communicate and converse. Multiple personalites and inner voices need to meditate as One; chant the same mantra for once, agree to belong to the same choir at least.
This morning I received a very funny video from a Gemini friend. She is not an over-the-line Gemini, she is not even in the train station. Nor am I. But she thought this video hilarious and so do I! It seems the puuuurfect "LIGHT UP EVERYONE!" _ oooops, I mean, "LIGHTEN UP EVERYONE!" Mars backwards Gemni silly crazy morning message! My belly aches from laughing....
Again, I promote clean air and deep breathing, and the Goddess for getting over that line, Sweet Jesus! But you have got to watch this!
From the Lawenrce Welk show, 40 years ago now, a (cough cough) Modern Spiritual!
Hi Sacredsin,
In regards to this MarsRX time, it is testing your 7th House. Below is a canned description of what that menas, Also Mars is conjuncting your Chiron which often feels very psychologically wounding or traumatic - like a sacrifice must be made, or simply unfair karma.
How does this fit?
Mars Transits the Seventh House
Partnerships may suffer from ego conflicts, or adversaries may be challenging. Use this energy to work cooperatively on relationship problems. You may even find that you seem to need someone's help in order to do what you want to do during this cycle. Relationships are vivacious and dynamic during this period. When a difference arises, you are quick to settle it, and have little patience for sweeping matters under the rug. Your close personal relationships are lively during this cycle--full of conflicts and resolutions or reconciliations.
I have Cancer in my 11th house for 4 degrees, then in my 12th. I have no idea how it all relates, but it has alot to do with the life work for this life, letting go of the old. I have been doing alot of that. Maybe part of it is that I have had no kids for several days, and this hasn't happened in over a year and a half now, so my mind has been able to make itself heard? I don't know, but I have been dealing with putting many things into the past, and many" lightbulb" :idea: moments to help me along the way.
Now I am trying to figure out how to mix constant kids without losing my mind. :fpraise:I know I won't see many more times like this where I have no kids for more than two days at the most.
Well the idea is to realize that this is just a short time in your life. They will be growing up so fast that you aren't going to be able to keep track of them and stop and realize that they are gone. Enjoy them now, while you can, as they grow up and leave soon enough and you will miss them when they are gone. Once the "Ah ha" moments start coming, they do keep coming even when you think your mind is occupied with minutiea. I know that this period seems like forever, I had those same feelings as my kids were in their pre-school years, but it really is a very short time in the scheme of a lifetime. Just relax and enjoy them, there will be plenty of time for the other stuff, and you will shortly have plenty of time for yourself. And might I add, you might not like that as much as the chaos of kids.
You know I have a theory about why we sign up for the types of lives we do. I call it the Ear Piercing. In the scheme of life the time that it takes to get your ears pierced is but a flash in the pan, so we get our ears pierce. It hurts like hell at the time, but it is quickly over, and we have something beautiful to show for it. It is the same with choosing our life. In the scheme of eternity, one life is but a flash in the pan. It hurts like hell at the time, but when it is over we have something beautiful to show for it.
Because we are locked into this space time continuum, we appear to live a very long time. If the life were not somewhat of a trial, we would not have too much to show. I like the saying, "Without trials there would be no growth." Just remember, we have eternity to play, so maybe this is just the trial of this life. Even by our standards of time, it is still short. Double mom duty though is tough, you are a good person for doing this. It would be much harder on those lovely babies to have to be cared for by a total strange that does not love them the way you do.
You know, I once read in a Caroline Myss book that people who have the kind of life you have are getting close to their self-actualization and are heaping on the trials just to get it over with. It does seem that some people really have lots more trials and tribulations than others. Spoiled puppies. It is the Spititual Astrology one, I cannot get over how much the book and the past life tarot readings I have done are so much alike.
i've got alot of fire and air in me, i don't have a temper, had to get that under control early on, 'specially with what i'm capable of.... _inabox_
Big hug CheshireEyes and Lorrie,
I haven't looked at Cheshire's scope but Lorrie has a Cancer NN in the 12 House. This means that being spiritual and serviceful, nurturing and mystical is her soul's purpose this time. That Uranus/Pluto conjunction in the 2nd House can make security blow up, until it is balanced by serious 8th House activity. Lorrie's Moon (heart) is also in the 8th House, so doing this Pagan thing, including astrology, is key to Lorrie's life goals and soul's success. With Cancer NN she is suppose to be the nurturer. Learning to meditate, upon rising and going to bed, helps, learning to meditate in the middle of chaos and noise is good too.
Folks with Cancer and Capricorn NNs and SNs sacrifice a lot and we suffer and we wonder and complain a bit, because it doesn't seem fair. "Why me?" syndrome is key to our quest, in truth. Remember Job? He had a Capricorn NN, his wife had the Cancer NN!
With the Cancer/Capricorn NN/SN axis, it all comes together and works out great as we get older and older.
Lorrie has been experiencing Pluto transitting all those intercepted planets, which was hell for sure....but it is over. She can now begin to rest and rejoice and integrate; forgive herself as needed, forgive everyone else, and meditate everyday. Again, Lorrie is here to be a spiritual success, a spiritual person this life, and do it in a Cancer Moon Mama way.
This MarsRX time started close to Lorrie's NN in Cancer and it will get back to that conjunction come April/May 08. That should really light up her destiny. Stayed tuned.
CheshireEyes,
Here is your chart. There is just soooo much going on in that thing that I really don't know where to start. You have two grand trines, that form a star of david configuration. You have a Stellium in the first house in Saggitarius that consist of Jupiter, the Sun, and Mercury Rx. You have Virgo/Pices interceptions, and you have Taurus/Scorpio duplicated. You are all air/fire and Cardinal Mutable. Your planet confiugation is mostly scattered, however the predominate number of planets are on the is in the first quadrant. You see yourself as an independent individual, capable of organising your own life. You could be self-centred. The planets in this quadrant will highlight the areas of life in which you want to express yourself. You have no fixed planets which means that you flit around a lot, finding it difficult to concentrate in one area. You like change. Your Mutable planets are strong, which means that you might like to put things off. You also expect others to be as flexible as you are. (I resemble this)
The Balance of Elements is Strong Fire & Air You are a highly-motivated person with many goals and aspirations for the future. You are vital and spontaneous, often enjoying the challenge of travelling down new and adventurous roads in your life. Your enthusiasm can seem a little irrepressible. A weakness may be that you don't like to deal with the mundane chores of daily life. You may be given to exageration. You are objective and philosophical, preferring to view life from an intellectual perspective. Your rational mind will outweigh your feelings every time, as you consider the world of emotions to be irrational. You have a high sense of fairness, and a logical thought process. Your weakness lies in the fact that you view emotions in a disparaging light.
This is the highlight of the balances of your elements, houses, and quadrants. I will let RedRose jump in with some stuff here.
I will also post your chart over in the Interceptions Thread for you as RR and I would love to hear your stories as regards this.
Oh, wow, CE!! How awesome is that?? Well, not for you I am sure :T but, dang! That's what I mean about it all being in my charts, right there, but I for the life of me couldn't understand astrology,no matter how bad I wanted to. I kinda fell into this astrology forum accidently too, and am finding it was no accident, and I have the feeling the same may be for you. :hahugh: I have really learned alot in just these few weeks of following the discussions, I went and tracked down the times of birth for my kids and their kids and am kinda referencing them all as I learn each thing, it helps to see several other charts to compare the different ways each subject affects a chart. My biggest problem in reading the charts is still how a chart of today compared with the birth chart shows what is going on where today. I guess I still have to understand the basics before my mind will allow me to take that step yet. My two main goals that I really wanted to do was to understand herbs and astrology. Herbs I am comfortable with , and now I am at last able to learn the astrology.
Spiritual, yes, I have always had to be connected to religion in some way, and have always admired nuns, their devotion was so much like mine, but being a nun was out of the question for me. ( In the book about spiritual astrology I am reading, the first thing in the book showed me that in my last life I had lived in some sort of group type place, an orphanage or nunnery.!)I began born Lutheran, which I still think is a beautiful belief, but it didn't quite do it. Several years ago now I turned to born again Christian. (My son and I did these same changes at the same time without knowledge the other was doing it, right down to the current pagan, where we both feel we are home, we have the same NN so far.) my son came home all excited one night, I was asleep, he often woke me up excited about one thing or another- we were always very very close. He had been learning about wicca from one of his friends, he was so excited because I had taught my kids about our "abilities" to use energy and make things happen with it at a responsible age. We were taught of course that this was of the devil, and hid it and were afraid to do much with it. Here he and learned that there were many many people just like us. We both began our pagan paths. I don't follow wicca, but am strong pagan heart, at last I found where I was home. Funny thing that, it all happened immediatly following ( my son and I again both did this with no knowledge of the other) we "gave our lives to God, to do with us what ever we were needed to do" Within a few weeks, I had a "visitor" that told me my world was about to turn upside down so completely that I would not recognize it. That I had to be strong, and allow these changes to happen no matter how odd they seemed to be." Soon, our lives fell apart, one thing after another after another. I forgot my visitor, I was depressed, suicidal, confused and angry. I could not understand why all this was happening, constantly wondered what I had done to deserve this. ( yeah, sounds VERY familiar doesn't it?):T I will leave out the details here, this was about the time we turned to paganism. About 7 months later, while all had fallen around my feet, I had pulled out of the depression and had begun to try to put the pieces back together. Suddenly it hit me like a brick wall. My memory of my visitor hit me, and I realized, I had just got exactly what I had asked for. I asked God to put me where ever He needed me to be. I went running around the house yelling like a maniac. It was then that I found out my son had given himself over also, at the same time, almost the same day. I was put in the woods, in the middle of almost nowhere, nature not only outside my back door, but occasionally walking INTO my back door :smileroll . I have turned into a crazy ol weird hermit lady. I am closely tied to the nature here. my closeness to Diety is very strong because I see it everywhere I look. Mothering? Nonstop, even if I want it to stop for a break! I babysit from 5am to 12:30am for my 3 grandkids, and I have one more due in April. I have always taken care of others, usually kids. I don't know how to do anything else. I am called MOM by many many people.
Sorry this ran on so long, it just amazes me how my chart shows all of this! And I wasn't allowed to understand it until the Pluto ride was done. You have all been really excellent teachers, and I look forward to what I will learn next!
Well I did not mind the information. It gives us more emprical evidence that astrology is worth studying.
It is also refreshing to see how you consider that Christianity and Paganism worked together to bring you to the place that you are now.
I feel that Christianity gave me the closeness of Spirit, showed me devotion and love, paganism taught me how to FIND that Spirit around me, in me,everywhere. It put my spirituality together with nature, my second love, and made it ONE. It showed me what Christianity was missing in my life. I do feel very possibly, and it hints both in my astrology and tarot past lives, that I may actually have been some sort of clergy or nun in one of the last lives, most likely the last one. This life reconnected me with that archetype, and then led me to paganism to expand the archetype further into the "universal energies that be" all around. This is where the energies that be needed me, a hermit in the middle of nature, at one with the nature all around me. My masters and teachers are not physical, I have learned little from mortals. Out here I can hear my teachings. I am empathically tied to nature out here, which really sucks when a coyote grabs ahold of prey, ouch that's painful when it happens close to the house, and the pain of the part of the woods where someone went through chopping up the trees. They taught me to not give strength to the dying, it can prolong the pain, send comfort instead. I tried to send them strength and the whole place cried out to stop. I believe we are all put in places spaced out to help heal the earth the best we can, our own little section at a time. This area needed someone, and that is why I ended up here.
Hi Lorrie!
Thanks for your enthusiasm and praise of astrology and MW astrologers! I think for those of us with extra challenging lives, we do wonder if we aren't doing something wrong. Our horoscopes show us the truth; that we are suppose to have challenging lives. And astrology can also help us figure out how to ease our burden.
I was checking out this website about North and South Nodes and thought you would enjoy reading what they say about you!
RedRose
http://www.mooncatsastrology.com/astro/lunarnodes.htm
*North Node in 12th House
*South Node in 6th House
You need to break away from obsessive, perfectionist habits
*North Node in Cancer
You are learning to care for and nurture others in this life. You will make fortunate contacts with people who nurture and care for you.
*South Node in Capricorn
Hi Cheshire Eyes,
You have Pluto conjunct your Midheaven which is very interesting and sometimes fairly dramatic. Here is one description of this:
http://www.geocities.com/rbltre/astro/plasmc.html#conjunct
Pluto Conjunct Midheaven: You can perceive the workings of the subtle forces of nature and have the insight and impetus to be a spiritual leader. If you're highly evolved, you may have an important spiritual mission to perform that results in the regeneration of the forces controlling society. Your actions have a subtle and far-reaching effect on your environment and you're able to use occult and intuitive forces to influence those in power. You're usually brilliant in business, often achieving fame (or notoriety if you use ruthless means to achieve your goals) in your field which often involves highly sophisticated techniques, science or occult. You tend to constantly remake your professional and public standing.
Hi All,
It is January 3, 2008 and MarRx is at 28* Gemini - and we haven't really talked about how MarRx has also been opposite Pluto/Jupiter these last few days too! Yesterday I dematerialized my keys at the grocery store. I walked in with them but I could not find them when I came out. I had already had to visit my bank twice because the first time they failed to give me the money I asked for. I said, "200.00" and they hear "100.00". I discovered their mistake when I went to pay a $200 payment and only had $100. So I had to backtrack to the bank and then back to pay the payment, and my last errand was the store and that is where my car keys evaborated....
I had an important job in 15 minutes and no way to get to it....
Sat down and did a grounding meditation. Told myself to not sweat the little stuff and prayed and released. Then I re-entered the store to look again, and almost ran into the store worker waving my keys announcing that she had found them in the grocery basket.
And my Gemini son arrives today for a whirlwind 3 day visit!
My Gemini friend actually told me she was going to visit her friend in a nearby town 5 times yesterday. Each time she failed to get in her car at the time she had told me she would. But she made sure to tell me that she had changed her mind and she set a new time. As of this morning she has not left but she says she will go at 10am.
Notice how more people are posting on the internet, and otherwsie all talking at the same time!
AHHHHH Gemini!
Last few days for me has just been a scramble to do juggle family Xmas dinners, DH's night shifts, more adoption process stuff, baby teething, starting the job hunt, and getting my drivers handbook out again so I can get my license. I've been thinking about resolutions or goals for this year and I have a feeling I'm going to be so busy at the beginning I don't think I want to add anything else. Won't it be enough to go back to work, get the boys in daycare, adopt my nephew, and get my license, what other resolution could I make :lol:
Hi Shatril,
Mars Retrogrades are linked to Saturn Retrogrades (both being like clockwork) and we haven't mentioned how Saturn is also Retrograde (double test time).
http://www.lynnkoiner.com/astrology-articles/saturn-retrograde
DECEMBER 19 2007 through MAY 2 2008
Saturn turning retrograde will slow down the normal rate of activity so that better methods and strategies can be developed. Saturn rules the physical and psychological supports, structures and armatures in our life. It produces the rules and regulations by which we guide our lives, our sense of responsibility, and our limitations. It allows us to define boundaries for ourselves by saying NO! When Saturn is natally retrograde, this capacity does not function properly, making us insecure and unable to accurately assess what can realistically be expected in any situation. The most common flaw is the tendency to say YES when we should say NO, especially in activities and relationships ruled by Saturn’s house position.
Oh, yeah, Shatril, I can relate kind of. my ex-bf has been a good friend for well over a year now. When he moved out, he left the phone in his name. I was not on his account and couldn't do anything with it. I kept it paid the best I could, finally came to a point where there was no way I could pay it any more, and it got shut off. (I won't go into detail for once. He pretty much lived for free, never paying my parents rent for living here, while my parents made OUR housepayments on this house. He borrowed thousands of dollars from them also) so he gets a collection notice, for under 300 dollars which I planned to pay after x-mas as things fell into place. He sends me an e-mail announcing he is going to charge me with fraud for keeping the phone in his name. He tells me that I have to pay almost 500 dollars for this phone bill- I have the bill right here, he insists it is wrong, it is over 400. This says FINAL BILL. Gee, who am I gonna believe?????:T Yeah, He claims to have spent thousands of dollars on the bills at this house after he moved to Tulsa. Sorry, but my parents and I were not dumb, we kept careful track of everything my parents helped me pay because he refused to help with the bills he ran up. my parents also had to do the downpayment for this house. Yeah. What an idiot, and you can't tell him he is wrong, he is NEVER wrong, the only reality is his. One of those.
This year just has not been starting out very good for very many people! My pregnant niece found out the mole she had removed was melanoma, and she also had an irregular pap. The pap, that happens all the time, it is hopefully probably nothing, the mole, well, that's gonna be bad. Both of these little items hit me within ten minutes of each other.:hehehehe: I think we need to order a new year, they gave us a faulty one!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hi Plumedsnake,
Yes you are right about being wrong about Mars.
RedRose
Well it's good to be right about something, even if it is about being wrong.
Here is Molly's explanation of this time:
http://www.north-node.com/articles/mars-retrograde
Mars Retrograde happens every other year and lasts for approximately 70 to 80 days.
Planets in retrograde lose steam, clarity and direction. So with Mars turning retrograde, we feel like we are paddling upstream.
Mars is the planet of war, fighting, new beginnings, and the act of sex.
How does Mars retrograde affect us?
* New projects and plans initiated now are likely to stall or not develop as expected.
* Our energy level will be lower.
* Accidents and arguments from impulsive actions and unrecognized anger will flare.
* Health problems from stress that’s internalized are also much more likely during this time.
Think of capping a volcano and sending the energy back into the Earth— that’s what happens to each of us during this part of Mars’ cycle. That’s why some folks will explode with frustration and make very poor decisions and moves now, responding with violence and anger instead of patience and dialogue.
Things don’t go as fast as we want them to during Mars retrograde. The better use of this time is to wait, plan and accept compromises. Delays and detours may turn out to be valuable, as you discover something of worth along the way. This is an excellent time to go back over recent developments in your life with the aim of reviewing your goals and methods— significant adjustments made now can improve your chances in the future. This is the time to germinate seeds, and to work out the details and actions of something that will begin (be planted) after the retrograde period ends. Mars represents strength— and this is time to gather your strength, and reinforce your position, rather than burn up your reserves.
Anything new that is postponed during Mars retrograde is probably for the better. Everyone will have less energy to work with during this period of time; remember that when you demand service or conditions to change immediately.
Slow down and resist gambling on first time relationships and situations as the odds are poor that you will succeed or be satisfied from such in the long run. Aries and Scorpio birthsigns, ruled by Mars, especially. Keep your guns holstered and wait for Mars to resume direct motion. Times will change.
Bottom Line
Most of the conflicts and challenges that appear during Mars retrograde will be temporary— that’s why you need to keep focused on the big picture and the philosophy of what you are doing.
Mars retrograde is tremendously powerful, although the energy is not well-suited for forward motion. It is very well suited, however, for reinforcing or strengthening some aspect of your life.
Hi Lorrie and All,
Well, given this MarRx thing, I would prefer to say that 2008 has been slightly postponed this year, but it will happen. Come the end of January, at the beginning of Aquarius Month, 2008 will take off. Right now we are still reviewing and reworking the past.
Again MarsRX at present is not only going from Cancer into Gemini, but it is opposite Pluto and also Jupiter.....
Mars opposition Pluto....BOOM. Bomb! Explode.
Mars oppostition Pluto AND Jupiter - Expanded BOOM! Magnified BOMB! META EXPLOSION.
This is not a subtle moment. However, please note, this can be a GOOD thing or a bad/sad time. What astrologers can say universally about this dramatic aspect is that it is IMPORTANT and that the things that are happening are FATED. The election going in unpredicted ways; new things happening in your life that drastically change your future, bad things happening, earthquakes, war. Quick shifts up or down. The truth coming out suddenly and changing everything, forever. Britney losing her kids, with another on the way.
Hold you temper. Be as savy and smart as you can, and as non-reactive as you can. That is always the test of MarRx/Saturn RX. Surrender to your higher power. Let go. Understand that it is fated and you will look back with acceptance someday. If you can laugh, do so. If you can't stop laughing, calm down.
If nothing is happening on the outer planes, or if you have MarsRX natally, sit down and meditate (actually everyone should sit down and meditate...), sit down and pray and relax into big changes on the INNER planes. Do not go manic, do not go depressed. You are not the lowest thing ever and you are not Jesus either....or you are BOTH...keep to the middle way and let the extremes of your inner realms alone.
We will be through this in a few days. Usually if something "bad" is going to happen, it already has. Hillary already has loss big, and so has Britney.
Oh dear, and here I am wanting to plan my gardens for spring. Maybe if I just plan what I may want to grow, and not the rest of it.... this phase is an important one because I plan to make a small scale sales nursery here, mostly herbs. These will also be used in my homemade bath products that I will sell year- round. Maybe just concentrate on ordering the things that I already know will be needed, and get them in the fridge or freezer to get them ready. If those get delayed, it won't matter as I am getting them plenty early! It sounds like a good time to put the seeds in the cold darkness. Now if it wasn't for this forum, I would have gone off running with all these plans and such, and be setting myself right up for trouble!! Yes, I really do think I did not accidentally fall into this forum. :fpraise: I plan to do my gardening by the planets.
Hi Lorrie,
Actually planning and preparing, especially doing what you can do all by yourself -no meetings needed - are excellent MarRx activities. MarRx will move past the Pluto/Jupiter opposition in a few days, but in the meantime it is a great time to clean house, organize stuff, pursue projects you are already involved with.
I start university on Tueday. I finally got accepted and funded right before Mars turned retrograde and I have been in a holding pattern these last weeks waiting for this big lifestyle change to get going. By the time Mars goes direct, end of January, I imagine I will be past my "new and lost" stage and my new life will be well launched.
Another thing that happened right before Mars turned backwards was that Shatril and I started moderating this MW Astrology forum (and I started this thread!). Had we been asked AFTER Mars had gone retrograde, we might have said, "No!". But MarsRX is a great time to Release, Revamp, Review, Rework....and we hope by January 30 (when Mars goes direct) that this forum will be happily hopping!
Here is an interesting blog article about this Saturn Retrograde.
http://www.new-visions.com/saturn-in-virgo-turns-retrograde-til-spring.html
With MarRx in Gemini and Saturn Retrograde in Virgo, the planet Mercury is being tested. Getting organized and cleaning up and healing communication and communication systems is currently UP.
Negative Saturn Energy
Much of the restrictive energy of Saturn retrograde deals with restructuring and reorganization. Because of this, people who are particularly sensitive may be inclined to become far more negatively analytical than is productive, and find themselves feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed or inferior.
This comes from the website that RR references above. It for sure explains a lot about how I have been feeling and dealing with myself lately. Lots of negative personal feedback has been going on with me. Well at least I know it will pass.
I went looking today to see what astrologers are saying about the USA economy (in particular) tanking.
1. "There is going to be total upheaval in hierarchy, economic systems." - Jack Fertig
2. http://www.astrocenter.com/msn/2008SnapshotLanding.aspx
Global economic upheaval might cause larger personal expenses, and investments might not be as profitable as you had planned. Political tension worldwide could create a troubling atmosphere, and you might find yourself unusually irritable. Yet clever, insightful people who can sense the needs of a changing society will grow stronger by adapting and staying flexible. They might even find themselves suddenly wealthy. This year will NOT be a year to rationalize or to ignore the admonishments of economist. Very often we go through life wearing blinders like a horse, but those who take off those blinders and prepare for a rocky road can thrive in 2008.
First resolution:
Get your own life in order — NOW. Whatever is uncertain, firm it up. Pay off as many debts as you can, and avoid running up any new ones. Start setting aside a little nest egg for yourself, and clear up any tension there may be between you and friends or family members to improve the mood.
Second resolution:
Don’t depend on anyone but yourself to solve your problems. By taking matters into your own hands, you will be able to enact change in your life and in the lives of those close to you — if you want something done right, do it yourself! If you’re dissatisfied with your life, work to change it, perhaps by joining one of the grassroots movements that have been popping up like mushrooms all over the world.
Third resolution:
Get involved. What cause appeals to you the most? Is it world peace, health and fitness for all, sustainable energy, or perhaps the rights of the weak, such as children and animals? Doing good for others will give you inspiration in other areas of your life, and overcoming obstacles will give you a sense of pride and accomplishment. Now is not the time to back down from a challenge — you could surprise yourself with how successfully you dealt with a difficult situation.
Turning Point
When Pluto enters Capricorn in late January 2008, the bias with respect to power will switch in favor of government by the people. It will also favor the economic empowerment of the masses.
This shift will create a world-wide push for political and economic reforms.
Responses Will Vary
Pluto’s power is explosive. But I think Pluto will not cause as much trouble for the world as it did the last two times it stimulated the Cancer/Capricorn axis.
This axis clearly seems related to the equitable distribution of political and economic power. Serious political and economic inequities are still rampant. However, political and economic power is still much more fairly distributed now.
The troubles Pluto causes this time will be proportional to the degree of political and economic injustice.
Beginning very soon, the idea of empowering the masses, politically and economically, will begin to become popular. These ideas will shape global thinking at a profound level and with immense and persistent force. The degree of trouble this causes will depend on the degree of resistance these ideas meet.
The struggle to achieve more equitable distribution of political power and economic benefits will not be over soon, either. Pluto re-enters Cancer in 2157, in about 150 years.
We are no longer talking only about new ideas and shifts in consciousness. The world is on the threshold of a major transformation on the physical, material level.
As my mind turns to ways to get myself and my farm off the grid. <sighs> I've been toying with this for a few years now, and I'm starting to think that the time has come. Thank goodness the Mars retro will be close to finished by the time Pluto moves into Capricorn, but the few days that Mars is still retrograde may just set the stage. When I see Barak Obama out there and his campaigne about standing for change and the people taking back the nation, it almost sounds like he is destined to be the next president cuz he appears to be sending the right message. Wonder what that is gonna mean.
Please stand by for news a 9:00
The last point is so very true of most of this last year to be honest for me. It's been a succession of frustrating waiting games where long periods of forced inaction have left me feeling frustrated and rather like a fish dangling on a hook. Then something will click into place and I'd feel like we were finally making some headway, then bang, another brick wall flies up in my face. The feeling of thrashing around and getting nowhere fast has been building up a deal of frustration and anger for m. Combine that with my totally inability to do anything to rectify the situation and it has meant I'm lashing out and taking my frustrations out on everyone else.
That's a really, really excellent description of my life from about March '07 through right now. I'm attaching my chart - would someone be so kind as to help me understand how Mars Rx specifically is affecting me, and what I can do to ride the wave? :) (I'm just about ready to SCREAM with the delays, postponements, and everything else that is not happening the way I hoped it would. I know it ends soon - but sheesh)
I almost forgot to post this here, I kinda see how it relates I think. I am seeing people having spiritual revolutions, awakenings, that type of thing. I have seen this in several people now. I am also seeing medical nightmares on the other hand. I expected it to be kinda rough, instead I have been feeling a calm peace that I haven't felt in a long time- well, it could also be the ending of the rough times I have been going through too, not sure what is what there, but not complaining, I needed this really bad. (I am one of the ones feeling the spiritualness coming back to me, and I am loving it.)
Also, everywhere, people are saying" WTF is going ON these days???????" It is crazy out there.
Hi All,
MarsRX is still opposite Pluto - 3* past, going backwards. Fights and hassles and also big boom breakthroughs, and breakdowns.
