Anyone got remedies for drying up milk? I tried cabbage and it just gave me a yeast infection. I think I read about sage tea?
I'm still leaking after not BF'ing for over 4 months, the medication they used to prescribe to dry up milk has been taken off the shelves due to serious side effects, and I'm tired of wearing a bra 24/7 and buying those stinking nursing pads that inevitably can be seen through my top. :help:

Hmmm....thats amazing its still leaking so much, I was still making milk for like a year after the kids weaned, but not leaking. I believe Sage tea is supposed to help, perhaps your doctor or midwife could verify it is a good choice for you..

Yeah I was still leaking occaisionally upto about a year afterwards. I think the constant stream of milk stopped about 6 months afterwards. I was never given any meds to help dry up though. Sorry don't know how to help ya, but wanted you to know I went through the same thing.

I was told to wear an ace bandage wrapped tightly around my chest for 3 weeks. It was uncomfortable, and not very flattering, but it did the trick.

When I saw the Dr he told me some people just take longer and that I'd have to wait it out since that drug I mentioned is no longer available.

Thank you. Was wondering what was wrong with me. Just lucky I guess

Oh god. I think I'd die. If I could find enough bandage at all.

When you tried the cabbage leaves, did you try doing it frequently, but for short periods? Like maybe 20 minutes 5 times a day?

Just overnight for about 5 nights. Decided cabbage feels nice and cool at first but eventually warm and icky
