Alban Heffyn, the longest day of the year is upon us! Call it what you may, I relish this the longest "day" of the year.
Some claim to be of the night...not I! The warmth of the sun and all things clear to the eye are for me. Let the shadows steer clear of me for the work of the Druid has been in the dark for far too many years!
Forgive me my absence my friends. Due to a financial glitch, I was offline.
That being said, what are YOUR plans for this holiday? I plan to go to the woods and give thanks. ;)
I bid you Peace,
Twig

I'm a moon person myself but I think I'll spend the day outdoors and maybe get a tan! :D

i am getting together with some friends and others for a picnic. we were susposed to have a ritual but the girl who was going to put it together flaked out :( i would volunteer but i did the last 2 beltain and spring, i am tired for now and think it would just be good to hang with some people and maybe something will come up. we will be at the beach with a fire of course.
midsummer kind of gets me a little sad "cause the days start to get shorter and i am definately a sun worshipper. infact if it is sunny i can't sleep kind of hard for the summer as the sun starts up at 2am and sets at 11pm. but winter is just as bad it doesn't come up till 8am and sets by 3pm i do get a lot of sleep though

Our grove is honoring Manannan mac Lir in a formal ritual. :)

I will go down to my parents house, which is rural and on a river, and do my own private rituals.

here is another Pic
Steve Wilson of the British Druids Society carries the English flag of St. George as he leaves Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England, where thousands congregated to celebrate the summer solstice Friday June 21, 2002. This is the third consecutive year that English Heritage have allowed public access to observe the pagan ritual from within the stone circle.
