Well....as its early, I can tell you my general plans, as I wont decorate for Yule till after thanksgiving..

Garland on the fron porch, the wreath on the door...I usually do fruits and evergreens as the motif.

I want to do a Yule log (My son wants to go all out and do the ribbons, decorations on the log)...so that first night, we may do cider, mulled wine, food, the log burning, and dessert..

Mistletoe/Holly balls for kissing under (cause it tickles the kids when I and DH get "stuck under the mistletoe). LOL..

A tree, usually around 9-10 feet tall..

My biggest focus is usually on the tree. I absolutely love decorating it, and can sit and watch the lights for hours. Last year we sprung for a live tree for the first time in years, and it was wonderful. </sniffff>

I also like to make/put up wreaths and ribbons, and keep the house scented with smells of the season.

I haven't really gotten all my plans ready yet. We did browse through Lowes the other day looking at ornaments, tree skirts (30$- ouch), stockings all kinds of stuff....

This is our first year in our OWN house so we're really going all out. I always had a real tree growing up and for the last 4-5 years had to settle for my inlaws little 3 ft tree. :help: So I'll be getting us a 8-9 ft tree for starters.

The previous owners of the house left a TON of lights and things here so that was really a blessing. We didn't have really much of anything for "x-mas".....

We are putting lights on the house, probably buying a set of those spiral trees for the yard... a nice wreath for the door of course.... and my wreath is actually a pentagram- its made out of that grapevine stuff and at michaels you can buy the wreath and the star! the star fits perfectly inside the wreath- its pretty funny. Then i decorate it with the seasonal greenery- covers most of the star- only the pagans notice. :weirdsmil

anywho.... those are our plans for "x-mas". I'll try and get some pics up after we get all decked out- would love to see some other pics too!!

We always use a fake tree. I just like fake better, and it's easier to clean up after. So, we go all out on the tree, and garland and lights throughout the entire house. We put up little hanging snowmen cut outs and cats and everything. A bit of mistletoe, some bells, candles in the windows, lights outside with santa, snowmen, soldiers, candy canes, and a nativity scene (not my choice, lol). We really go all out for Yule (mainly because Christmas is the main holiday celebrated. I'm the only Pagan-y one in the house.

We go all out - this is one of my favorite holidays all year long. I celebrate Yule and then my boyfriend celebrates Christmas, so we do Xmas together and we both love all the decorations. We put fake garland on the stair bannister and over the downstairs doorways, we put out our figurines (he puts out an old Nativity scene), we get out the special winter/Xmas candleholders and candle plates and tablecloths. We put lights on the front porch and an inflatable Homer santa claus in the front yard  Hokey, but cute. Now, I grew up with a real tree every year, but my SO likes his re-usable fake one. However, since we'll have the little one for Xmas this year, he's thinking of getting a real tree - I'm so excited! I do a centerpiece on the dining room table, I put up a seasonal altar in my kitchen, etc. And while we decorate (the weekend after Thanksgiving), we play all of our Christmas cd's and sing along.
