i recently moved to wyoming, and into this townhouse. and of course i had to cleanse and bless my new home as i moved in. (ya never know what kind of energy the prior residents carried with them:eek: ) any way i did my usual with the salt and white candles, sage and sweet grass. however, i still get thosr syrupy vibes. my sister came to visit, and they were even weighing on her! they are of violent anger, fear and depression.
i started to have bad dreams about a week after i was here, as well as getting crabby and depressed! i started to get the feeling of a man beating a woman here in the recent past. then a short while ago, a letter from a drug/alcohol center and probation arrived here for the past resident! i have the same dreams every night, and i wake up exhausted! some nights i will have them three or four times! a scroungy man in a greasy flannel comes thru the front door. i hear the door, and the fear wells up. i can't move, scream, or even wake myself up! i hear him coming up the stairs, yelling and mumbling, i can't understand what he is saying though. i want to run out of the room, but am too petrified to move!!
anyone have any suggestions?
thanx!

Redo the banishing ritual!

I heard from someone who does them that it is very important to go all through the house and keep doing it till you are sure the energies are gone. Don't just stick to a ritual if the house is not clean when you are finishing. If you burned a black candle to get rid of the negative energy you have to burn a white one to replace the negative energy so you don't leave a void. If you burned a black candle you have to take the remnants far away and bury it where it will not be disturbed. Thats about all I know in my limited experience. Hope your problem goes away soon!

House Purification
by MariCybele

Requirements:
1) Goddess & God candles
2) Water dish (add pinch of salt)
3) Incense
4) Basic circle of ritual

A basic circle of ritual is laid by sprinkling Salt clockwise in the ritual space. The Gwyddon holds his hands in the air and facing each direction says in a strong voice:

Ayea! Ayea! Kerridwen!
Ayea! Ayea! Kernunnos!
Ayea! Ayea! Ayea!

And taking the water dish, he sprinkles the water around the area to be purified while saying forcefully:

Begone from here all evil and foulness!
Begone from here in our Lady’s name!

This is done until the Gwyddon feels satisfied that the purification is working. He then returns to the circle, purifies himself and closes the circle.

If you have any mirrors (regardless their size) across from any doorways--move them immediately! also burn either Sage, or White Sage, or Pine incense to help clear negative energy.
Alsoi take your index finger and over all windows and doors to your home draw a pentagram with that finger and state,"Netgativity out to stay only postive energy will remaun here forever starting this day."

At anytime of the day or night!!

Next time the 'guest' walks through--say one simple word bravely and meant it--"Begone" If he challenges you--then repeat it in a firmer more authoritvie tone.

You may also make Holy Water over the tops of your doors and windows and use the above words when applying them.

One thing I noticed is that you didn't mention anything about what you do before you start banishing. One thing we (in my tradition) do is 'stir it up'. We clap, ring bells, bang stuff together, etc. The reason we do that is that the vibration seems to kick it up out of the corners, etc. which makes it easier to get rid of it. I hope this helps.

Helpingly,

I also feel that burning Dragons Blood after the cleansing has been done helps to keep negative energy away.

Best of luck to you!

Gwyddon magic doesn't wait for a specific time or place ~ it's just done when it's needed.

I have often run into negative vibrations in places. My usual couse of action is the burning of white sage and the alteration between silent prayer and song. I sing whatever songs come up in my head and I pray to God and my own spirit guides. Another quirk of mine is to either sit or lay down in the affected area and have some form of all four elements around me. I can tell if the negativity has been banished, becuase I get this urge to start to dance and the moods of the songs change. When I have that out of my system, I always make sure to send up a prayer of gratitude to God.

I am not pagan though and I do not even know what the basic banishing ritual is,so none of this may do you any good. But either way, good luck my friend and be careful!!!

Hi Mairwen,

Would it be ok if I ask what these words mean & how do you say them properly?

thank you

Was this to me? If it was, my Tradition isn't Wiccan or anything near it, really ~ we don't do a lot of things other groups or Traditions might. As well, we do some things that other groups or Traditions probably wouldn't. When we do magic, we do what we call "running the light" ~ and this is a very strong movement of energy. The banishing I mentioned above would become even more effective if the person doing it knew how to "run the light".

However, even if you don't, it's still quite an effective banishing.

Ayea! is simply "AH-YAY!" and is akin to saying, "Hear Ye!"

Kerridwen is the All Mother. Her name is pronounced "Kehr-rid-wun".

Kernunnons is the All Father. His name is pronounced "Kehr-noo-nos". (pronouncing the "s" like the "s" in ... "sock" or "stop" or "silly".)

Nope. I was actually replying to her original post. Sorry, I probably should have quoted her to keep it clear.
