I'm looking for a bit of information. Does anyone know of any Goddesses associated with wolves? Who has a symbol of a wolf, may appear as a wolf or with wolves - that sort of thing?
I have done some searching on google, but have not as much luck. I was only able to find that Skadi is, and one link speaking of Artemis.
Does anyone know of anyone else?

how sure are you that the wolves are related to a goddess?
if you don't mind me asking.

I'm not sure that I understand your question?

what made you think that this was a goddess in the first place is what I am asking.
did you ask for a sign?
or could it possibly be a god, or a spirit guide or totem?
there are a lot of options and I'm just curious as to what made you associate wolves with a goddess in the first place is all.
is this based on a vision, a symbol, research?
what is the back story here?

Edit: She beat me to it! Oh well.
I'm not TWM, but what came to my mind when I read her question was: are you sure the wolf is connected to a goddess-- it could be a "totem", a symbol or any number of things that aren't necessarily deity related. I think she was just asking if you're sure it's linked to a goddess and not something else. ALSO what comes to mind: are you sure it's a wolf and not another canine?
Perhaps she can clarify though.
As for goddesses linked to wolves-- off the top of my head:
Hekate -- often linked to wolves and dogs
Diana
Artemis
Kali, though jackals, not wolves:
She is also accompanied by serpents and a jackal while standing on a seemingly dead Shiva, usually right foot forward to symbolize the more popular Dakshinamarga or right-handed path, as opposed to the more infamous and transgressive Vamamarga or left-handed path.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KaliI can probably find more later, but keeping it narrowed down to just wolves won't turn up much. There are many other canines linked to deities: jackals, foxes, coyotes, etc.
And even though you said goddesses, here are some gods:
Helios:
WOLF: SACRED ANIMAL (http://www.theoi.com/Titan/HeliosTreasures.html#Animals)
According to some the wolf was sacred to Helios. He was probably here identified with Apollon Lykeios (Of the Wolves).
Apollon (Lykeios).
http://www.theoi.com/Olympios/Apollon.html
Anpu (Anubis) though not exactly a wolf, he's shown as a canine (jackal).

Do you have anything more that'd help narrow the search down?

Ah, I understand now. At the moment, this is more of an 'academic curiosity' rather than something more spiritual. No signs, spirits, visions or anything like that. I am reading a book on wolves, and realized I was not aware of any Goddesses who may be associated with wolves as such. A random urge to learn, you could say? Not on the look for a new patron or responding to a message anything like that, just wondering, really.

Also just using some detective skills on Google and other searches might provide you with more info. Wolves are really big in Native American beliefs, though they're not necessarily deities. Some are spirits, etc.

Hmmm...here's this in reference to Leto (Mother of Artemis and Apollo) being met by wolves and lead by them to the River Xanthos:
Antoninus Liberalis, Metamorphoses 35 (trans. Celoria) (Greek mythographer C2nd A.D.) :
"Leto, after giving birth to Apollon and Artemis on the isle of Asteria, went to Lykia, taking her children with her, to the baths of [the River] Xanthos. As soon as she arrived in that land, she came first upon the spring of Melite and wanted very much to bathe her children there before going on to Xanthos. But some herdsmen drove her away so that their own cattle could drink at the spring. Leto made off and left Melite. Wolves came out to met her and, wagging their tails, led the way, guiding her to the River Xanthos. She drank the water and bathed the babes and consecrated the Xanthos to Apollon while the land which had been called Tremilis she renamed Lykia (Wolf Land) from the wolves that had guided her. Then she returned to the spring to inflict a penalty on the herdsmen who had driven her away. They were then still washing their cattle besides the spring. Leto changed them all into frogs whose backs and shoulders she scratched with a rough stone. Throwing them all into the spring she made them live in water. To this day they croak away by rivers and ponds."

google indeed, now you all have me searching.
I had a funny feeling Morrigan was associated with wolves as well.
http://nlpagan.net/wolfpage.htm
Wolf power, as the power of any familiar is linked to spirits, Gods, deities. The ones connected to Wolf are Merlin, Romulus, Remus, Brighid, the Morrigan, Fenri, Loki, Odin, Zeus, Diana, Hecate and Cerridwen, to name a few. As you may (or may not) know, there are some pretty powerful names in this short list.
http://www.faerie-world.org/tales/deathgoddess.html
There are many images that she uses. Long ago, she came as an animal - a wolf, a vulture, or jackal. Then she took on the forms of transportation - the death-coach and the death train. She is still the Nightmare who rides away with the soul, the dark angel of death that wrestles the soul out of the body.
Not sure of the legitimacy of those links, but the information contained within makes sense to me.
Side note: I found out something interesting in my searching. I strongly connect with Morrigan and both the wolf and the vulture (as well as the raven) are totems of mine.
