Don't know, the regular wolves are interesting enough...however...I loved Wolf Lake (tv show) and am mad as a wet hen they took it off. But from what I have read and seen in fiction, I would just as soon not have them be real...

Can I ask what you liked about that show? I'm wondering because our paper covered it AFTER it was off the air and I have their promotional stuff still in my bosses office :)

If you have cable, I think Wolf Lake is on the Sci Fi Channel now.............

I didn't realize they took it off. It was on UPN last time I knew. I never got into it, Buffy takes up all my time and I just don't wanna get addicted to another show until Buffy is over. LOL

Well Mithrea, I liked the story line and they had some excellent acting going on... I liked the special effects too. The characters were believable, if you could call a werewolf that. The motivation for the plot was good. Basicly I thought I would be a good show.

The premise was great. A man looking for the lost love of his life who has vanished one nite. He goes to her hometown. following his clues to who she is. He is lead there by a mysterious phone call, and as each clue is given you are lead into the heart of the story. There are subplots and good layers to the characters with good and evil in them, not all one thing or another.

Another reason I liked it was they didn't try to play off of Buffy. The folks who developed it kept it separate...which is only right as they are not the same....they are different ways of looking at a similar topic. (Unlike Witchblade..they talk about Buffy in their ads. sigh.)

Real werewolves on the other hand are still scary....:blushake: I have seen real wolves in the wild...amazing creatures. But I don't want to be buddies with them. They are definitely not dogs.

Thanks OW for the tip on the show...will check the listings and see.

Incidentally there's a genetic disorder that causes thick hair to grow everywhere, even on a person's face, I think it's called hypertrichosis or somehing..? But it has been documented in portraiture back to the 1400's I think, so may be part of the myths surrounding werewolves...
