chilling cold, wide cracks in the ice and a large,
drifting floe that put them off course, the WomenQuest
trek to the North Pole should reach its destination
today. "We expect to be at the Pole by noon," said
Sue Carter, 50, an associate professor of journalism at
Michigan State University and director of the trek, on
the group's web site. The 12 women began the trek
