What was this?

I've never thought to post this before but this would be the best place for it.

When I was 15/16 I was taking a nap on my parents couch. The TV was on, but it was a blue screen from a movie. While I was sleeping I was looking at the screen for a few minutes in a daze. I always assumed I was sleeping with my eyes open or something (weird?!?!). Another thing happened as well. Do you know how in movies when someone has a bad dream and they sit up real fast and inhale real deep while clutching their heart? Well, I had never had this happen. But during this same nap I dreamed that my boyfriend (at the time) walked in through the kitchen door/front door and saw me napping. He crouched down behind the couch and whispered my name in my ear. This FREAKED me out and I sat up, inhaled, and clutched my chest. I shouldn't have been scared, but I was. It was just a really weird experience altogether.
What do you think of these two things happening during the same sleeping period? Was I just sleeping with my eyes open? Why was I terrified of my boyfriend?

I was asleep. It was SUCH a refreshing sleep too although restless at the same time. Weird, but it was really comforting.

He was a funny guy but he never played pranks. Pretty much the same thing?
