I brought the kiddies to our local Santa Claus Parade today. As usual, each church was giving out candy canes tied to little leaflets. I actual read a few of them before the kids ripped them off the candy and threw them out. They were all about the supposed Christian Origin of the candy cane, which being the good pagan I am, I came home and googled....turns out its all fabricated. In other words, they are trying to convert people with lies. Some things never change, huh?

A gift to you: My very simple recipe for White Candy Cane Bark: Crush 12 candy canes in a food processor or with a rolling pin. Melt 2 cups white chocolate in the microwave stirring every 30 seconds or over a hot water bath in a metal bowl . Mix crushed candy cane in. Spread on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper or plastic wrap. Cool in freezer till solid. Break into two bite peices. Enjoy!
