Just got Duquette's "Chicken Qabala" and I'm fascinated with how the Qabala applies to the tarot. I really like the different view of the Page/Princess cards.

Anyone use Qabalistic correspondences for their readings?

i don't read, but the Qabala is a very big part of my tarot understanding.
'The Qabalistic Tarot' by Robert Wang is an excellent resource for this kind of work, dealing with four different decks to make his points clear (R-W, Golden Dawn, Marsailles and Thoth). not an easy read, but absolutely essential.
other gooders are 'Highways of the Mind' by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki (for pathworking), and 'The Mystical Qabalah' by Dion Fortune.

I got out my deck and tried out my new info. It's powerful stuff! I don't think I've ever been able to decipher such clear answers before.

The correspondences worked really well with the pictures too which I thought was interesting and my deck is based on the Greek myths, not traditional tarot....

here is a quote from one of my books,

In the 19th century, Eliphas Levi, and Papus drew attention to the numerical similarities between the 22 major arcana cards, the 22 letters of the hebrew alphabet, and the 22 pathways connecting the ten spheres in the tree of life of the Jewish Kabbalah. the Pathways, each associated with a letter of the hebrew alphabet are linked with certain spiritual experiences that each of us must traverse in order to achieve higher states of awareness and understanding. Levi and Papus after him developed the theory that the cards of the major arcana also symbolise this spiritual journey of mankind.

there is a nice illustration I will try and get a good scan of it..

but basicly the major arcana cards 1-22 correspond to the 22 paths,

1 is with 1 2 with the second path, etc

and as for the minor arcana cards and the ten sheperes,
well check this out,,,

keter-1= aces
binah-2=twos
chockhmah-3=threes
gevurah-4=fours
chesod-5=fives
tiferet 6=sixes
hod-7=sevens
netzach-8=eights
yesod-9=nines
malkhut-10= tens

I got this from a book by Terry Donaldson called "the tarot spellcaster" ISBN 0-7641-5402-8 Published by Barrons

it is a good book to have in your library :)
