Hello all!

I would like to find some masculine music for my meditation sessions and ritual. For some reason, when I think of masculine music, I think of tribal drums, so I would like to find some cds featuring just drums.... no flute, no chanting, just drums. Does anyone know where I could find cds like this? Also, does anyone have any other suggestions for masculine music for meditation which would not be too distracting for meditation? For now, I have been using a white-noise generator which can produce the sound of the oldest drumbeat... the heartbeat.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer....

- I really recommend that first one - He's a member of the band Tartanic, which plays a unique blend of Scottish music, but its his drumming that wins my heart. ;)

The Dragon Ritual Drummers started as a pagan men's group near Niagara Falls, and through various events became a drum troupe. All percussion, no vocals, incredible music. I highly suggest starting with their CD, "Epic".

You might also try drumming for yourself, if your living arrangements allow it. A small drum beaten at 180-220 beats per minute can help you hit a really nice trance for meditation and journeying, both because of the sound and the ehythm of the body (even if you aren't dancing).
