Just wanted to let you know that I'll be gone for a few days.

We are moving today to our new place... We have so much to pack still LOL

In addition to the stress of moving, yesterday we went out to buy me a dress for our very first date night since Scarlet was born, next Saturday! Our Temple has a special adult only Hannukah event: Vodkas and Latkes!

Heheh.

There's going to be babysitting there, so Scarlet will be in a near by room with babysitters and other kids, but the main event is for adults 21 or older (cause of the Vodkas!).

So to make a long story short, on our way out, after strapping Scarlet into the ar I very gracefully SLAMMED THE CAR DOOR ON MY FINGER...

Ouch.

To add insult to injury, hubby was still inside the store, and I had initially locked the door that slammed on my finger, and couldn't reach the button to unlock the door... Then Scarlet started crying inside the car... I called hubby to come out IMMEDIATELY out of the store, and I had to ask a nice lady who was passing by to unlock the door for me...

Thankfully, my finger is not broken... Just very sore, blood vessels broke and my nail is turning blue, I have a cut exactly where the nail and skin meet, and the top part of my finger is swollen... Oy.

Packing is going to SUCK... (as if it didn't suck enough... I HATE packing to move..).

Funny enough, I was worried more about Scarlet in the car crying, than whether my finger was broken or not...

Gotta love the mommy instincts and emotions!

At least I got a pretty dress, my nail didn't break (I am a fanatic about my nails), and my wonderful hubby bought me snickers and a big bottle of coke to have with the pain killers LOL

So after this long babble... I'll be online again beginning of next week, just wanted to let all my buddies here know... Anf I do have some PMs I need to reply to, I will when I get the internet back, as my finger is really hurting right now, and we are getting ready to start our "exciting" day of packing and moving.

Good luck with the move! Tis a shame I don't live close, I have several large & muscular relatives & friends who could move house for you in a flash. LOL Hope your finger mends quickly & everyone adjusts to the new house quickly too.

Easy moving vibes sent your way :)

I hope it goes well for you anyway. Poor finger!

Luckily I've never done that, but I'm always clumsy enough to smack my head off the trunk lid or doorframe.

Well, hopefully you have the bad stuff out of the way now and the rest of the move will go very smoothly. I'm excited for you to be in your own home (with a real kitchen! woot). Sending healing energies for the finger, and postivie energies for the move to the new home. :hugz:

Take care!! It sounds damn familiar with that purple finger... Too bad you use that one for typing. I slammed my pink between the door, at school. I never realised, until the days afterwards, how much you use that little finger...
