Has anyone every seen any Goddess Runes? They are different from the traditional Norse/Germanic runes normally used. I have gotten ahold of a book about them, but I have not been able to find any of the runes themselves.
I plan to make my own eventually, but I would like to find a set to purchase in the near future in order to get started with them.
Thanks in advance for anyone who can point in the right direction.

I've never even heard of them til now. I found these sites, and the second one says that they're not available. They do look interesting!

Are you talkin' about the ones 'invented' by P.M.S. <oops!> I mean, P.M.H. Atwater? (Can you tell that I don't hold her in very high esteem?) Atwater's scholarship in this book is sloppy & questionable, at best... she cites Marija Gimbutas to add to her credibility, but she uses the references she cites rather out of context... Are these symbols ancient 'proto-Runes'? Yep, nothin' new, there... proto-, or pre-, Runic symbols date back to the dawn of time... many, like the cross & swastika, are rather universal... Is there any credible evidence that the symbols she shows were painted on stones & used by a matriarchial, Goddess-worshipping society as a form of divination? Not really... Can one use this system for divination? Probably... I've not tried it, but I've heard of people divining with stranger methods...
From a Runic point of view, I really can find no validity here, particularly historically...
Personally, I think ol' P.M.H. has a problem with men... but that's my un-researched opinion, rather like the content of her book is hers...

I believe the other night Faolan posted a link in chat to Goddess runes. You may wish to ask her about it; they were on ebay, tho I'm not sure they are the same ones you refer to.

From what I have read of her book so far, which is only the beginning, I agree with you about the scholarship; however, I don't necessarily see that as a bar to using the runes presented. Lots of "scholarship" in the pagan community is very thin. So many people seem to believe they must prove the lineage of their systems in order for them to have value. I don't happen to believe that. Modern paganism (Wicca, Druidism, Shamanism) is, in my mind, as much a recent creation as it is a recovery of older systems.
As for the potential effectiveness of using these runes for divination, I have seen that first hand. For me, they seem to be more accurate than the Futhark runes normally used and referred to. I tried to use the Futhark runes once, and got nothing but nonsense out of them. According to one reading I was near death and very unhappy with my life, which could not have been farther from the truth. The Goddess Runes, however, really spoke to me. Perhaps it was their simplicity. I don't really know.

If this system works for you and you resonate with it, then it's likely that it's the right tool for you.
Rick is very serious and knowledgeable about the runes and I think the point he may have been trying to make is that we shouldn't confuse these with the original Futhark. (Correct me if I'm wrong, Rick......)
