I've read elsewhere that very high fevers (not the low grade ones mentioned here) have been implicated in causing autism in some cases...

That's super interesting, especially after reading The Brain that Changes Itself, about neuroplasticity (exemplified by this article). I wonder if it will really come to be an important discovery?
