PostCarbon.org is a really great website with lots of information about self-reliance and moving away from fossil-fuel intensive agriculture. I really like the relocalization network and would LOVE to get a relocalization group started in my area. The problem of course, is finding -other- people who are interested...

The website is founded upon the premise of peak oil, and what we can do to ease the transition to a post-carbon economy. There is much controversy surrounding 'peak oil' and there are many good arguments on both sides (I'm a peak oil person myself). Still, you'll find this website very useful even if you're not worried about oil peaking.

But browse with caution, you could be on this site for hours and still find new things to look at:

i'm more worried about the way oil fouls everything it touches, myself. :)
