Oh well, he came home so we went to St Thomas to the fun fun magic store and got good stuff including more nag champa, then went out for supper, then went and got some groceries and goodies, and now sitting here I'm thinking about going out to see friends, and tomorrow I'm going to go help mom set up her yard sale she's having monday, then we have a big drunken bonfire/campout party tomorrow night.

I worked yesterday, and I'm working tonight. Fortunately, I'm not working Sunday so I get to do fun stuff then. Usually I'm not all patriotic (not that I hate Canada, but I'm just not one of those people who paints their faces and drives around honking with a Canadian flag hanging out of their cars I mean), but I'm not one to give up an excuse for a party ;).

I don't do that either... Here, they have this festival thing, which I don't usually go to.... 'cept that I found out they have these great little donuts there.... :mmm: That's a good enough reason for me.

Other than that, I stay at home having my own party. :)

They also have a table at our annual gathering. You should go there and experience the ambience of the place. The ceiling there is copper and they have magical stuff ev'rywhere and the place always smell beautiful. Very, very magical place. If you're around this way also check out the Mystic Bookshoppe in London, tho it is smaller they have an extensive library.

Oh where was I? Oh yes, happy Canada day everyone, and I'm getting wasted tonight. Yes absolutely sloshed! Yee haw!

Huge happy parties for everyone! And try and keep cool - it's supposed to be 35 degrees Celsius (that's 95 degrees Fahrenheit) without the humidex. It's a muggy scortcher, folks!

Yeah! Unfortunately, among the fun and fireworks there are usually lots of deadly car accidents:(

I expect to see lots of law enforcement out today to start their holiday drunk driver vigil....

shnen
July 3rd, 2002, 09:19 AM
Fortunately it seems that drunk driving is getting less and less acceptable out here... seems worse in the country.

Flar's Freyja
July 3rd, 2002, 09:34 AM
Definitely less acceptable but people do it anyway:mad: So proud of my son a few weeks ago when he ran into some military buddies and they had a few beers and he spent the night. We had that discussion many times, so good to see that he listened!

lucky for me my boyfriends brother who lives 2 blocks down always has the forth ...big cookout-fireworks-a balloon jump thingy (which the adults take over :T ) and no driving involved :bigredgri
