I'm opening up my own little virtual tea room here on MW where I'll be offering a wide variety of readings, under the condition that these will be posted publicly so that others can learn from them as well. I will also be accepting private reading requests on a limited basis.

The readings will not be limited to Tarot. Methods include:

Tarot - LOTS of different decks
Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards (these are brand new for me)
Runes
Playing Cards
Cowrie Shells
Element Readings (my own system, in development to be published in a year or two if a publisher will accept them :) )
Ogham
Pendulum

I may combine methods depending on the reading.

So step up, and ask your questions, let's see what answers come up!

What about just a general reading without any specific questions? Or are you wanting questions asked?

Just a general reading is fine! If you don't mind being a guinea pig for new decks

Can I add my name to the list please. My question is about strengths and weakness I may have in my career choice.

RayneStorm:

I did your reading using the Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards:

Bread, reversed. This card indicates that in many ways, you have been blessed, and it's time to begin sharing those blessings with others.

Sun, tilted left. This card indicates that you are holding back from doing something you want to do out of fear. Where are you stuck in your life right now, and what is holding you back? It is in your power to achieve your goals, provided you begin to confront your fears.

Stars, upright. The Stars speak of hopes, dreams, and goals, and tell you that you are on the right path to achieve your goals, even if that path seems rocky at times.

Book, tilted left. It's time to evaluate your relationship to determine if someone is trying to hide something from you. This could be anyone, at home, work, or otherwise, and is not necessarily a bad thing, but there is a caution to be careful in what you tell others over the next few weeks.

Knot, tilted left. The knot speaks of bonds and relationships either good or bad. This often refers to marriage, but also indicates children and other significant relationships in your life. Here, this card says that for the most part, these relationships will be pleasant and satisfying. This isn't saying you won't have bumps, just that your relationships will be worth it.

Fish, tilted right. This card speaks of material wealth, and indicates now is a time to re-evaluate your financial situation, and start seeking ways to make more money. This could mean selling things you're no longer using, crafts, or other items you make, asking for a raise, or looking for a new job.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Can I ask for a reading as well? I'd like to know how my love life will turn out in the next couple of months. Just so I can start to plan my moodswings. :)

Brigid Rowan, here you go!

Deck: DruidCraft Tarot
Spread: The Spirits of the Circle

1. The Self - The Hanged Man
2. Spirit of the Ancestors - Justice
3. Spirit of the Tribe - Nine of Cups
4. Spirit of Time - Eight of Cups
5. Spirit of Place - The World
6. Spirit of the Journey - The Fool
7. Awen - The Lovers

This is a spread that comes from the DruidCraft Tarot book, and it's the first time I've used it.

The first position, The Self, represents you or a situation that you are currently facing. The card here is The Hanged Man, indicating that this is a time of great sacrifice for you. This may be nothing new for you, you have always willingly made sacrifices for the benefit of those you love, but I get the sense that this is a time of deepening sacrifice, of giving more of yourself than you thought you were capable of giving. You are, and this card is an indication that all sacrifices you make will be worth it.

The second card, Spirit of the Ancestors, speaks of how you are influenced by your family, particularly your genetic family. Here we see Justice. From your family, you learned a sense of balance and fairness. This may have been a lesson learned the hard way, through seeing how unfair things can be, and stubbornly determining to bring more balance into your life, and deal more fairly with others than you were dealt with by your family. We learn about Justice through experiencing injustice.

The third card, Spirit of the Tribe, speaks of how you are influenced by friends, and by the culture in which you live. Here is the Nine of Cups, a card of indulgence and satisfaction. In this position, I see this as sort of a peer pressure card, and it may indicate that resisting that pressure while still having fun is a lesson that you had to learn, and perhaps in some ways are still learning. Balance, as shown in the previous card, is the key. Enjoying yourself without going to far into addictions, whatever those addictions may be, is very important, but so is not restricting your enjoyment for fear of succumbing to potential addictions.

The fourth card, Spirit of Time, speaks of how the current age, the current life-stage, the current time-period you are living in influences you. Here is the Eight of Cups indicating that this is a time of walking away, and letting go. Sometimes it is necessary to walk away, but be sure that you aren't giving up and walking away too soon. Stick it through until you are certain that it is time to go, our culture, our time period is one that thrives on instant gratification, and we walk away too soon way too often.

The fifth card, Spirit of Place, speaks of how you are influenced by your home, or the area of the country that you live in. Here is The World. I see this card as saying that you are not accutely influenced by your immediate area, and take your influence from everywhere. This is a global culture, and you are happy to be living in it.

The sixth card, Spirit of the Journey, speaks of how the past, particularly past lives, is influencing you. Here is The Fool and indication that your past has taught you to be impulsive at times, to be free, to enjoy things, to face your challenges, and to take chances. You are better equipped to deal with challenges at this point in your life, more than you ever were before.

The final card, Awen, speaks of how you are influence by Spirit, the Divine, or whatever name you give to it. Here is The Lovers. You feel blessed, and complete. You feel that the Divine has led you to where you are, through all your tribulations, and helped you make the choices necessary to lead you towards peace and contentment, fulfillment, and completion.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Oh, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are really right on a lot of things! The first one, about sacrifice made me laugh. I hope you dont mind me sharing this:

As far as family and sacrifice, it is a story to do with the In Laws...especially my MIL. She drives DH and I up the wall. She sends us a gift list for herself, all the things listed that she wants are 150$ and up!! Yet she is getting other family members 15$ gifts. Thats right 1/10th the price of the item she wants..and she wants several of them!!

She told us she was too busy to shop for our kids, so she gave me her credit card info, and i did all the shopping for the kids and wrapped it all, labeling it "from grandma and grandpa". You wanna know what she was busy doing? Later, after I'd done all the work, she told me she was busy going to water aerobics and luncheons with her friends. I spent 10+ hours doing all the shopping and wrapping for her, so she could party with her pals.

Now she is about to come to our home, her, my FIL, SIL and SIL's hubby...for 5 DAYS. I swear, Im going to be drinking tequila in my closet by day 2. FIL is lovely, but SIL and MIL are walking opinions. They'll argue with anyone for the sake of it. SIL's hubby hogs the TV, watching LOUD sports all dang day. And he cant shut up, and routinely wakes the baby at nap time with his loud laugh and arguements with SIL.

~faints~

I told DH we are doing Yule Sunday BEFORE they get here. (They are NOT at ALLLL pagan, very traditional Christian) I just cant have Yule ruined as MIL and SIL sit there and nitpick our celebration to bits.

"A yule log?? What are you doing tying ribbons around a dirty log for?"
"Solstice? That sounds stupid!~loud laugh~"
"What sort of crazy people decorate a log?!"

etc...etc...

Im in panic mode...

DH and I (mostly DH) have handled the rudeness in the past, but I just dont wanna deal with it during a HOLIDAY thats important to me, you know?

Okay use your new deck on this one:

Back in October I went to a vocational rehab/employment center and they required me to use not just my last year's taxes but my parents' taxes since I still live with them and am counted on there's.

Because of that I was financially overqualified for vocational rehab (considered) and my vr counselor said she'd talk to the board of supervisors of the program or something to see if I could go despite being financially overqualified for the training (which I would or my parents would have to pay a large sum of money otherwise for the month long training), and they would say I could start possibly in December and/or January.

Well January has started and no word and actually whenever I try to call my counselor about the status of things she says she's still talking with them or she's unavailable.

Okay I have a feeling I won't get the position but I want to know what's going on behind the scenes, and are they hiding something from me? Are they not allowed to simply say I can't go without paying?

Hey, everyone! I'm behind on everything because of some life and work situations. I'll be working on getting everything caught up over the next week or two.

I'm temporarily closing for free readings. I'll be catching up on all current requests over the next week or two. My school semester just started, and with that and work, I've got to adjust to a new schedule.
