Greetings, one and all!
I have decided to do a fundraising event for our local (Northeast Pennsylvania) "Fairy Box" Charity (A group that supplies a permanent 'gift'box' for children in hospitals. It started in Scotland, and is slowly making its way across the world. Read about the Scottish effort at http://www.fairybox.org/ ) and would request help in the planning and execution of the event. This will require time and dedication, but since it is entirely for a charitable organization, and the planned scope of the project so large, I really need the help. If you are so inclined, and have expertise in planning and execution of similar events, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Current plans are for the event to be in two parts -- ths 'Faerie Bazaar' during the daylight hours (10:00 AM to about 7:00 PM), with the 'Faerie Ball' from 7:00 PM to Midnight.
The Bazaar portion wil have booths for crafters and artisans, and feature 'faerie' themed merchandise for sale, along with roving performers and (of course) Faeries. The Ball portion is a costume ball with a Faerie Theme, with (hopefully) several musical groups providing music for dancing.
I am, of course, more than willing to listen to suggestions for improving the event, additional ideas for this year and the years to come (I hope to make this an annual event.)
