... for the Fourth of July???
We can't have any fireworks this year because practically all of Arizona is on fire, so that's pretty much a bummer because it'll be my first year without them ever and it's also the first Independence Day since September 11th... So what I'm going to do is tell my dad and my stepmom that they can't go outside for a little bit and I'm going to lay out a big blanket in the yard and a bunch of candles in the shape of fireworks on top of it. That way we can have fireworks this year! ;)
Other than that, we'll probably barbeque, lol. My best friend's coming into town tomorrow, so maybe she'll be with me. In any case, what are everyone here's plans?

I think were gonna be at the ball fields all pretty much all weekend. The two younger boys have all-star games to play in, and it's also mine and my husband's turn work the concession stand. They also have other stuff planned at the ball field to celebrate the 4th....a cook out, an old-timers game, a greased pig chase, dunkin' booth, etc.....

Well, this week is the week of my Family Reunion (dad's side). Everyone is coming up starting Monday. So I will be immersed in Family all week. On the 4th, we're having a barbecue here at my house, and then me & my cousins are heading down to the riverfront to hang at the bar down there and watch all the fireworks up and down the Hudson. Then Friday is the day of the reunion.
I'll be twitching by the week's end. :p

Hey SS, You can come by me...they have been letting off fireworks since last week. (I hate fireworks) everybody can get a smaller scale of those big fancy ones. then we have those LOUD bomb things (really hate those) then my city is having the big display on the fourth the town next to me is having it on the third. I'm sure the other two surrounding towns are somewhere in that timing.....yes very small towns around here we are all close together...or you could just drive 20 min. and in Chicago they have a huge huge display!!!.....so when are ya coming :bigredgri

I'm going to go to Hyde Street Pier in San Francisco and help them set up for an $80 dollar a plate dinner they're having on one of the historic ships.
Then me and my family are going to be on fire watch on another boat at the end of the pier.
We get a close enough view of the fireworks to have sparks and shells falling on us and a fairly good "volunteer dinner", not quite as fancy as the people paying $80 are getting, but we get it for free!:D

We still don't know! We had plans to go to my mom's lakehouse for a few days. But our friend, who re-enlisted in the Army is home on leave. He is separating from his wife and is having a get together before he gets shipped out, we just don't know when. But we really have to and want to be there for him. So... *shrug* I might be twiddling my thumbs waiting for him to call.

I have to work for about three hours and then I'm free. fireworks are on Campus this year. A lot of places here have banned fireworks also becuse of the threat of fire. Oh well, there will be food and entertainment until the display.
Everyone around her has been doing the fireworks thing at night, has been driving my poor dog crazy!

my daughter and son in law are having their first wedding anniversary on the 4th. he's out on the banks of the connecticut river with my grand daughter drowning worms and trying to catch everything that swims for a fish fry that day, my grand daughter managed to land about a 15 inch sucker, not too shabby for just short of 7 years old, she called us on her radio to tell about it so we all went down to the river for a look and give her an "attagirl".
