I'm curious, I'd like to know. What experiences have you had with the gods and goddesses? Tell me your stories. :)

I haven't had that many, but once I felt Lilith's presence, which was quite cool, at the time I was quite stressed about something, and it helped me, it seemed to comfort me.
I have a few others too.
BTW, cool thread, I'd be interested to read others experiences too.

I'm not sure I understand the question completely, but I'll tell mine.
Odin once stopped me from taking the easy way out. I was feeling called to the Norse gods, but I was maybe a week into researching them and I was so overwhelmed by all the words I didn't know and names I couldn't pronounce and gods I knew nothing about. So I thought, "wouldn't it be easier to worship and research the Greek gods, who I at least already have a cursory understanding of?" And then Odin came and made me all frozen and feel like I couldn't breathe to remind me that good knowledge requires sacrifice.
Another time my parents were fighting and I was scared and Thor came and lulled me to sleep.
Another time Freya came to me. I was standing outside wondering if going off in the recon direction was the right way to go, and this really beautiful orange cat came up to me and started rubbing up against my legs, then went off in the bushes. I went and sat on some stairs to think about it and the cat came back and started playing with me.
And finally, Loki once came to me in a dream. I think he was just saying, "Hey! I'm not as scary as everyone thinks!" but the dreams certainly pushed me to change some things in my understanding, which I think was his purpose in coming.
Needless to say, the gods are very direct with me.

I've had quite a number, but one that happened not too long ago which I found interesting involved me driving late at night and crossing over a giant "H" painted on the road. I didn't find out till later that this denotes a fire hydrant is nearby, and to this day I've never seen such a thing again. What was curious about it was that it was painted right at a three way intersection and as I sat there on top of the H looking both ways momentarily, I noticed a giant black lab across from me with its eyes glowing as if made of fire due to my headlights.
The whole drive home had a lot more interesting experiences, but that one just screamed "Hello, this is Hekate. What's up, homeboy?" or something to that effect. [snickers]

Yes, I've had a LOT, as I tend to seek them out so they don't forget my name  I haven't been as good with that lately, it's been so hectic for me, but I try and remember them in my prayers.
I remember when I first approached Frigga....I kept seeing her name in different places, and was halfheartedly researching the Germanic gods, so I thought she might be trying to get my attention. I guide myself through a meditation, finally reach her and ask if She had been trying to thwack me and she said "No, but I wouldn't mind the attention".....like 'i'll allow you to worship me, if you must' LOL And once I meditated with Freyja and I tried to ask her a question and she laughed in my face. She said something to the effect of "You've got moxy kid, I like that....now go away because I'm not answering your question right now" I was duly humbled :T

I've had a few instances of contact with gods and goddesses, but the one I remember most clearly was an experience I had with Isis. I have been interested in Ancient Egypt and the mythology that comes with the gods from those past days for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I used to feel that I wanted to become an archaeologist and research things in Egypt. The goddesses I feel most closely connected with are Bast and Isis... Bast for her appearances as a cat and her connection with the sunrise, while Isis is a goddess I feel connected with because of her life-giving and healing/magical qualities.
One particular Egyptian site I am interested in is the Temple of Karnak in Luxor. I decided I would meditate on the way this site feels to me... at one point, I felt like I was really standing in the site itself and could feel the scorching heat of the sun... and I felt a presence of someone just beyond my mortal reach. When I inquired after the identity of the presence, I very clearly heard "my child, must you really seek for me still?". There was no doubt in my mind that it was Isis speaking to me at that point. Seeing as I was pondering the existence of the Goddess at that point in time, it felt like a "now really, what are you doing doubting me for?". I think it's safe to say that I've been convinced of her existence ever since!

Most of my experiences with the Gods come in the form of physical signs. These experiences are very special to me, and I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing most of them, but one little example was when I was feeling drawn to Athena. I was living in the middle of a large city, and feeling very cut off from nature in the concrete jungle. After I spoke to her, I asked if she heard me, and an owl hooted loudly 3 times, right outside my bedroom window. It startled me so much, I almost jumped out of my skin! That was the only time I heard an owl during the 6 years I lived there.

Zero, zilch, nada, to my own dismay.

One of my favorite gods, Set, likes appearing in my dreams. I've also felt his presence. I've also had Anubis show himself to me in my dreams. I don't feel a connection to Horus but he likes showing himself to me also. I have no idea why.

Once I was in a strange city staying with a friend. I was leaving early in the morning. I was sitting in the living room waiting for my friend. It was winter outside. It was a cold morning, still dark.
And I saw a lovely golden-silver light, and I was on a mountain top with a guide who wore a long white robe and off in the distance I could see the Lady. She was robed in blue and the light of love energy was radiating out from her core. She told me that this was not a sign of something specific I needed to do... just a vision I can hold in my heart... I saw her and knew that she knows me an has great, unchanging love for me .... and for all who wish to live in light. She told me She would always come if I asked her to. I felt more then heard such beautiful, healing celestial music. Then she slowly receded and I came back to myself in the dark, early-morning living room.
It is a precious gift I will carry always in my heart.

One of the first encounters i had with the divine was in a dream i had back in my junior year of high school. At the time i was finally coming to terms with what i really believed in and felt in my heart. Anyways, in my dream, Jesus came to me and seemed to offer acceptance and understanding, the image of mother mary holding baby jesus appeared with a sense of love, and the image of Athena on a coin came and seemed to radiate strength. When i woke up that morning, the name Oya popped into my head. A few months ago, i remember sitting at the office i work at and listening to the radio. To my surprise one of the ladies from the station starting talking about Mother Mary and then briefly mentioned Athena. I remember getting chills after that broadcast! :)
Lately though, the Goddess seems to be appearing to me more in the guise of Isis. Her name keeps on popping up in places where i don't expect it to be and at times when im not specifically seeking out information on her. Today for instance, i was at a bookstore and i thought to myself that i wished a book would just catch my atttention. Right as i thought that , i noticed a book title that interested me on the spot. I went past it and looked at other books, but the book, Pilate's Wife stayed in my mind. Eventually i went back to it, pulled it out from the shelf and flipped it over to read the back of it. To my surprise the writing on the back was a part from the book describing the heroine's encounter with Isis. needless to say, i ended up buying it a few moments later! :)
i've also had a dream about her where i was in a store and i turned the corner to come face to face with a book case full of books entitled Isis: Queen of Kings, and another one with a book written called Lo Isis.
