Any ideas on how I may celebrate Beltane this year? I still live at home and anything elaborate may pose a problem at this present time. We are in the process of moving you know....so everything is hectic.
Anything simple that I can do that relates to the fertility of the season and whatnot? It should probably be outdoors huh? (actually that may be more convienient :D)
Bye the bye, I wonder what time of day I should celebrate..As I do have school so celebrating at noon would be impossible.
In perfect love and perfect trust,

Ok something simple and not make you stand out with the rest of the family right?
At anytime that feels right to you why not have a big tall glass of cold milk and then later eat an orange outdoors? noone else has to know what they symbolize to you.
The milk--the goddess; and the orange the God.

This might not be something you can do without anyone noticing, but to someone that doesn't know the symbolism it can seem absolutely 'normal'. Where I come from Beltane is actually a statutory holiday and widely celebrated, not only by the pagan community but by the general public. Of course to the general public it's a celebration of spring, but the old name and the old traditions have survived. Most commonly with bonfires, quires singing and fireworks. They usually have big public bonfires in the city parks, but a lot of people rake their yards and prune their trees and light their own bonfire at dusk.
There are many old pagan traditions that have survived Christianity in Scandinavia. Midsummer is another and it is also a statutory holiday.
Happy Beltane :sunny:
