I just got my info book/ application in the mail today from Yale! I am sooo nervous/ excited. This is my ultimate top choice college. I had never been really interested in it before but several months ago I was researching different colleges based on their merit relating to what I want to study (archaeology/anthro. / also possibly history, linguistics (german), and theatre.. I know, way too many interests! hehe) and Yale just fits all of my criteria to a t! I love it. It's so historical, and the academics are just stellar. I was practically wriggling like a puppy with excitement! lol... My only worries now is not getting in!! :( I really hope and think I will, but my sat scores are nothing spectacular, my verbal was quite high but math was kinda poor, as I have moved alot and the whole math sit. is majorly messed up. My grades have been great for the past 2 years though, straight a's for the past 2 semesters and only like 1 b or something the other semesters. Basically I am relying on my writing skills which are very good (something you can't tell from this post, which is basically an outlet for my disorganised anxiety!!) for the essay part to get me in, my teachers reccomendations, and extracurriculars (theatre 4 years, german foreign exchange, violin for 7, soon 8 years, honors choir) and crap like that. God I am overstimulated. I really really really want to get in. Wish me luck!! and thanks for listening to my babbling. Any similar college type stuff yourself? Or better yet, any Yalies hiding in the mist??

Good luck! Shame you don't play football.....my son received about 20 invitations from Harvard. He elected to join the Air National Guard instead.
