I have to do a speech for a class... and I have to do it on a semi-controversial current issue... I'm thinking I want it to have some relevance to me.. so I was considering one of the environmental treaties.. or something.. ideas?? thanks in advance..... ula.

Check out Gov Gary Johnson of NM ... he wants to legalize drugs ... and I don't mean just marihuana ... some of the hard stuff too ... there is also the new bill in Congress that changes the status of a fetus ... there is also the drugs for $$$ issue with AIDS, esp in Africa ... there are PLENTY of things to choose from, It's like a BUFFET and Circus-Circus out there!

For environmental stuff, you could also try the Rainforest Action Network's website. Not only do they deal with Rainforest issues, they also have actions to help protect old growth forests, such as the crusade to save Luna the Redwood (unfortunately it was cut down this year).
