I just got a call from one of the places that interviewed me before the holidays- they want to hire me for a 6 month contract position! (perfect timing ;) )They want me to start Monday, but need to run a police & credit check on me. I have no concerns about the police check, but I am a little worried about the credit as I have no credit, and I may have a few overdue library books and an ambulance bill I forgot to pay....

Please send energy, DF, baby and I need this job like crazy, we will be in dire financial straits if I have no mat leave pay next year.

Thanks so much!

Gambatte to you Marcasite-San (bows politely):

And next Monday at 10:00am, I have another Job Interview:

I got a call back from dunkin donuts today too!! :D
I go in tomorrow for 2nd interview.
The manager told me to bring in 2 forms of ID . She said she wanted to get me setup with a uniform and have me get in some training hours next week! (monday most likely).

Good Luck to you KNR as well! :hugz:

Well I wanted to update: I went into today and I was given the forms to sign saying I allow them to do a credit check and that I will do a police check. Then I was told to come in at 9:30 on Monday to get the contracts signed and to get started! So I think the checks are just a formality and they're really just concerned with red flags like fraud and not with the general state (or lack thereof) of my credit.
Sooo as of now, it looks like I've got a job! The pay is just about half of what I was making at my job in London, but oh well, I'm just thrilled to finally be working :D. So, hooray! DF and I can save up for our own appartment, for stuff we need for baby and for next year. And (as long as everything works out) I will get mat leave pay for next year so I won't need to return to work full time. This is such a weight off my shoulders.
