Just days after my husband's friend passes away of cancer I find two lumps in my left breast and underarm. I am going to the doctor on Monday so let's hope that it's good news. The scary thing is...my great aunt and grandmother both died of breast cancer. I hope it's not.

Good news energy on the way.
When I found a breast lump 9 years ago, I asked the surgeon to remove the whole thing instead of doing a needle biopsy, even though I didn't have any family members with breast cancer. My friend Daphne found a breast lump a couple of years later and she asked for the same thing, she did have a family history of breast cancer. Thankfully both biopsies came back negative. Hope yours does too. :hugz:

Sometimes women get lumps under their arm due to stress and perhaps that's all this is. I really hope so.
I get lumps under my arms frequently, I've never gone to have them checked out...yeah, maybe I should but once the stressful situation starts to die down or my cycle starts the lumps go away.
:hugz: Still I'll pray for ya.

The doctors warned me this could happen again. Two years ago this month I went for a mammogram because I was noticing some changes in my right breast that wasn't normal. At one point during the exam they thought they saw a lump. Turned out it disappeared after they tried to smash my boob a few more times. I have had a lump under my arm before the same year and the doctor said it most likely was nothing to worry about but to keep watching it anyway.
I still don't take any chances with this kind of thing.

I had a friend several years ago who developed a lump, the doctor told her it was fibroid tissue and to stop drinking caffiene, which did help in her case. One of our members was worried a few months ago about a lump her daughter found, which turned out to be a Phyllodes tumor - benign.
Here is a link to information on breast lumps - both benign and malignant.
