Prayers Needed

My snake needs your prayers. She was in an odd position earlier this afternoon and is at the dr's now. I've had her less than a month, and the 2 others that were with her died....I've grown very attached to her. Her name is Persephone. Please say a prayer if you have time.

I'm really sorry to hear about your snakes. Do you know why the others died? What kind of snake is she?

Hi Mithrea...

Persephone is a baby ball-python. I've only had her 3 weeks.

Her head was kinda upside-down and to the side, if that makes sense. She had been fine an hour before, the last time I had looked at her.

I'm not sure why the others died, my husband got her at a pet store and was told the first time he brought her in (for feeding) that should anything happen to her we would get refund.
But I don't want no stinking refund, I want my baby!!

Well she's at the place she needs to be then. I'm sure they can help her.

But--and maybe this isn't the time for this--but the whole thing sounds a bit suspicious to me. I don't know anyone who doesn't feed their snakes themselves and why would they offer a "disclaimer" if it hasn't happend alot. Something shouldn't "happen" to them while they are being fed . . . sounds fishy.

Thanks guys for your energy/prayers. She was not in good health to begin with, apparently, and has died.

The lady at the pet store said she was from a bad batch of snakes, and there was nothing I could have done...and that she lived 2 weeks longer than the others....so she could tell that P had received a lot of love.

So, instead of my refund, she gave my hubby another python that is older and stronger.

The sad thing is, they kept her body...I would have liked to bury her.
