(I'm slightly confused b/c I could have sworn there was an assignment to write on 2 different kinds of wicca? Moving on to Deities b/c I can't find it. It must be the weather today!) :weirdsmil
Monotheism: only one deity exists and is worshiped
Duotheism: one God and one Goddess,
Polytheism: many Gods exist and are worshiped, and are usually apart of a particular pantheon and have distinct identities.
Pantheism: the gods and nature are one in the same ASSIGNMENT: In your assignment thread decide and explain what views you hold regarding dieties.
This is hard for me to articulate because I am new to my path, for the most part, but not new to being connected to nature and the Goddess. I've always been a Pantheist but didn't realize there was a term for what I believed.
BUT, I'm a Duotheist too...AND to make things more complicated, I believe that all Gods and worship of God(dess) are just different paths to the same divine. Does that make me Polytheistic? I'm unsure. I have not had any specific deities *call* to me, like I have read others have, but I am connected in some way to Danu and the Tuatha Dé Danann although I'm not sure if that is just curiosity?
As you can see, I'm a mess when it comes to labeling what I believe about deities, but I FEEL it in my core and sometimes that's enough...sometimes it's not!

Yes the assignment your talking about is under the Covens and traditions lesson which is being revised sok please hold off on that assignment .
As you can see, I'm a mess when it comes to labeling what I believe about deities, but I FEEL it in my core and sometimes that's enough...sometimes it's not! there is no right or wrong answer I just want to get people thinking about this concept and what they feel is their way or view.

And thank you so much for it! Last night I had a long talk with my husband about what I felt and believed and why I had such trouble with trying to find a *label* for myself. It really gave me a lot to think about and the realization that I don't need my beliefs to fit in some box, they are what they are and THAT is my spirituality! :)
