My son got a hold of my tarot cards. I know, I know, I should of made sure he couldn't get a hold of something like that ... but he's two and getting into everything now:rolleyes: Anyway, he ripped two of them up! I've had my deck for a while and felt such special bond with them, which for me is hard to find. Does this mean my entire deck is ruined and I can't use them anymore? :(

Personally, I wouldn't use a deck that has two cards missing. It's like having pages ripped out of a book, it's no longer a complete story.

What deck is it? If it's not out of print you could always go and get another one maybe?

Can you purchase another complete deck, pull the two cards, and reshuffle it?

The cards are a tool. . . Since you're already attuned to the symbolism on the other cards, replacing those two from a "spare" deck shouldn't mess up your game any. :)

As for the rest of the "spare" deck. . . give them to your kid and let him play!

It was the original Rider Waite deck. I know I could get another deck that's the same, which I'm gonna have to do. I just felt deeply connected with the cards I have now ... I don't know if there completely useless, or if I could still use them.

Maybe you could ask US Games if you could purchase just the 2 cards that got damaged? :)

You all make my job so easy!

Those are the suggestions I would have given! I'd check with US Games first, then if I couldn't get 2 replacement cards, I'd buy another deck and use it to suppliment my special deck.

I wouldn't however give the rest to my child to play with at will. I'd buy my child some fun kid oriented cards like Old Maid or Snap. Something with pictures and bright colors that will hold the young one's attention. ;) Then when you need to get your cards out, have the child get theirs out too. :sunny:

I agree :)

Also/Or you could celloape the ripped cards back together if the pieces are big enough?
Also I know this is a bit far fetched but its worth a thought ~ which were the cards he ripped up? (shrugs) could mean something..

Thanks for everyone's help. :)

I went out yesterday and purchased the same deck that I have now. I replaced the ripped cards and did a cleansing.

The cards that got torn were the SEVEN OF WANDS and THE CHARIOT.

Would that mean anything
