Saying Goodbye to a Friend

I just got an email from my mom telling me that they had to put down my dog. :( Apparently she had a tumor in her tongue.
My mom got me this dog when I was 12 years old....she was just a cute little puppy that I held inside my coat....the very first thing she did was lick my nose with her tiny soft pink tongue. I let her sleep on my bed, because she couldn't sleep alone at night....and she would sleep with her head over my neck. I was the only
person in my family who every let her sleep on my bed as she got older. And even though I haven't lived with her for 6 years, I'm still gonna miss her a whole lot.

Sorry to hear that Amethyst, was bad day yesterday for me too.
Had to put down little chihuahua "maggie" that I have had
since she was a pup. Got her in 1988 I think it was. Was very
cowardly about it. Couldnt stay in room with her while they did
it, and it bothers me now.:(

I am so sorry to hear of both of your losses. It is always sad to lose a special friend like that. May you all meet together on the Rainbow Bridge someday. (and yes, that story always makes me cry, and I have 2 cats waiting for me there too. *sniff*)
