Once, a few years ago, I had insomnia and was looking out my grandparent's sunroom window I saw 3 balls of light, sort of undulate by. They were slightly varying sizes. They were, if I remember correctly they were blue, green, and purple. Only thing is, I have NO idea what they were.

They could have been either faeries or ball lightning. Both of which are extremely rare to see. Faeries for the obvious reason, and ball lightning because it is an extremely rare phenomenon; although both of which do exist.

assuming that I'm correct and that foo fighters are UFOs, then that's a definate no. I saw it out the window, as in lower than the window, and between the house and above ground swimming pool. So, if it was a foo fighter, it was a darned small one.

well UFO just means something in the air that you dont know what it is. As far as i know they appear as colored lights streaking across the sky or through the air. they often appear as green. but ball lightning does seem more likely

hey! :D whoah spiffy stuff!!
Maybe the "legend" of faeries as beings that were tiny, coloured balls of light was started by ball lightning sightings? :D it could be! ;)

Hm... this thread just brought up a random memory from my childhood. My youngest cousin used to insist, quite vehemently, that she'd seen fairies, and that they didn't look like people, they were just little glowing blobs... Of course, she could easily just have picked up this idea from a story, or the Disney film of Cinderella, or something, but now I'm wondering if she'd actually seen something similar to Maren Themah's experience, whatever that might have been... Interesting.

Foo fighters were UFO's seen by pilots in WW2, so whatever Maren saw, that wasn't it
Fairies or elemental spirits are always a possibility, but considering the circumstances, I would vote for ball lightning. But it could be elemental spirits of electricity.
My advice is to live in wonder and be happy you saw them, lots of people never see anything like that in their entire lives. You are blessed!
