Okay folks, here's the thread to post your very own spreads that you have created!

I use a simple three cards, and read how the three can be interpreted together, and how they interact. If there's any confusion, three more get drawn for each to clarify. I'm not sure how I came up with it though.

I use a 24 card spread. I use the major and minor separate and lay them out as bellow but read them in downward rows. Most of the time the first row is presant conditions with the rest moveing into the future or just nagging about other stuff.

Bethra your spread reminds of one a freind did for me way back, is it to do with the seven planets spread at all?

Just thought of one, though haven't tried it yet. A twelve-card circle-spread, around the person doing the reading, and read clockwise for future reading, and counter for the past.
Anyone tries this before I do, let me know how it goes. ;)

That sounds a good one!
So would you draw them out, 1,2,3,4,5,6 and place them clockwise like a clock for future.. and then read from the top 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7 for the past?
I always tend to go past, then present then future, so Il try this out back to front.. with drawing the anti-clockwise first and then doing the clockwise, present, future, ones after these...
You could also place one in the middle for the overall theme to draw on and learn from or maybe a few, say three, for more clarity.

Another spread is one that I learned from a Finnish book, and have used with regular playing cards (before I learned about Tarot) on two New Year's Eves (two years in a row) at midnight to see into the coming year.
I spread the cards like a clock so that the month that I am living presently is 1 o'clock (January, but it can be any month, f.ex. August if you're doing the reading today), the next month 2 o'clock, etc. The thirteenth card goes in the middle, and tells about the year in general. The other cards tell about each month. I wrote my prediction down, and was amazed at the end of the year at how accurate the cards had been. I'm looking forward to doing this again at the start of 2003, now that I have my Tarot-deck, and look at the cards much more spiritually than I did earlier (when my main aim was just predicting events).

That's the same spread I use:) It's a very 'telling' spread, I have found.
My Waite deck seems to work well within that spread; however, my Toth deck can't seem to handle it too well.
Must experiment more!

Just picked up a book (this morning - talk about "co-incidences")written by Amber Jayanti, and realized that's where I found that spread! I'm a bit embarrassed to admit, but it was "Tarot for Dummies"... Actually a pretty good book, just the title doesn't please me.

I do a spread that reads what will happen each month for a year... it's very simple...

5 6 7 8
9 10 11 12
Otherwise, I don't even consciously use "spreads" when I do readings.... I just lay out the cards the way my hands want me to.... I go totally by intuition...whatever comes up ends up being the best spread to answer the question.
