Well, given the number of yonkers here, I would imagine that having free access to a PC would be more prevalent in the USA. Kind of like those with a TV or telephone in every room...

But one of my chief delights in these places is being able to converse with folks from other lands as if they were in the room with me. Ok, make that in the same building with me -- I actually do use my voice to talk to those in the same room with me!

I love talking to people from other countries, except for guys from the middle east who "want to be my friend". No disrespect Arabian people intended but that tends to freak me out, especially since 9-11..... :eek:

No . . . I would say 'be ashamed!' widukind ;) I'm an idiot about geography but I at least know the countries! :lol: I know how that is. People from other countries know better where my state is than people in this country. I love it when people ask if I live near Richmond or say things like, "I wish I lived in a state that had a beach . . . " No beach people! We are completely landlocked ;) :D

I was (almost) born in the Illinois River, grew up in the Illinois River, and now I live in a small town in the middle of a cornfield in Illinois. How I miss the Illinois River!!!
I was in L.A. in 1979 and Hawaii in 1980; in both places when people asked where I was from and when I said Illinois, they said "Is that anywhere near Chicago?" Ah, yeeeaaaahhhh.......:D
