**Smiles** I think I'm living the best life I can live right now, all things considered. I'm afraid of big creepy crawly things, :p but since I don't want to be a pest-control agent, that doesn't really bother me.

**smiles** I'd be doing exactly what I'm contemplating doing.

After all, this is my year of Facing My Fears (TM).

Learn to swim.

When I finish the novel (5/8 done!) gird up my loins and actually submit it to some publishers.

Walk around the world--obviously I couldn't walk on water, so maybe I'd take a boat across the oceans.

Stop worrying about dying young or going blind... :( :ack: :ugh::blushake:

I'd scuba dive, or swim in deep ocean water. I hate the ocean, it scares the life out of me, as well as any large body of water which I can't see the bottom of.

Maybe I'd finish my writings... and then show them to people.

I'd go streaking.....

SimplyStrange

I'd go streaking...

OMG me too... but... I'd be too afraid that I'd get busted... or that someone would manage to get a photo... and later on if I ever became successful or famous... they'd use it against me. -.-'

streaking is so overrated! ;)

I would actually sing in public... not just in the car, or in my shower... and I think I would speak my mind a whole lot more.. ;) *kidding* LOL

How about wearing your Ozzy t-shirt with your Spongebob socks while listening to Enya in public? :rotfl:

Get on a plane to LA tomorrow and never look back.

But as it is, I have to wait a few weeks for that. And I will have to eventually come back for my car and the cat :)

Tell off my evil uncle and hire a private detective to figure out how much of my grandfather's money he's taken. (I'm afraid of doing that because even though my Mom's furious with him, it might hurt her).

Get a job go-go dancing in a little fringed mini-skirt and halter and high leather boots in some cheesy dive to make extra money.

proof read before I post on occasion.

SimplyStrange

I'd also kidnap my best friend and leave a note to her parents saying "You've been HAD by the short blonde that you wanted your daughter to be just like... have a nice day."

I would bungi jump naked out of a helicopter while listening to
"secret agent man" on a walkman.

and I would take my cat with me.:p

SimplyStrange
July 24th, 2002, 05:23 AM
WHOA. Bunji Jumping would be so cool... hehe, but I dunno about naked... or with my cat... Probably because if I was naked AND had a cat... I'd have cat scratch marks ALL over my naked body when the cat freaked out... o.O Unless he was doing it to conquer fears, too... :)

Though, not out of fear or anything (I just think it would be an interesting experience).... I'd stay a night in a haunted house. :)

Excellent question!!

no fear, huh?

Get a tatto, or six
pierce my tongue, my nose, and maybe an eyebrow
join in the naked dancing at a ritual
wear a bikini in public
parachute and/or bungi jump
learn how to fly a plane
learn how to drive a 18-wheeler
tell my parents I'm polyamerous

That's a good start, anyway. :)

not sure,
maybe drive to and learn my way around Nashville,
actually I don't picture myself as being afraid of much (but I'm sure if I looked deeper I'd see a different truth!) I will admit, I'm afraid of getting old

I've already done one thing.....walked out of a secure state job last year to freelance on my own.

Next, I'm going to apply for a job with an $80,000 annual salary:D

Good question!

1. Get the tattoos I want. Although this is really more an issue of money, I still kinda fear the whole process (<- has incredible fear of needles)
2. Get my tongue pierced (unlike the tattooing, this is actually just a needle and therefore a lot more scary for me!)
3. Quit school and lead the dirty arty life with just my cameras and say screw it to being "responsible" and doing what I actually want instead of what I think I should be doing. Unfortunately a semi-secure future starting with a formal education seems like the only way I'll be able to live in not absolute poverty

SimplyStrange

I'll tell you one thing I WILL do, and am not afraid to... Help make the world a better place! Mark my words, one day I will! I will help people... that's what I want to do. And it's cool, 'cause I got a fortune cookie fortune awhile ago, before I decided what I wanted to do with my life, and it says "Your ability to love will help a child in need" ... how ironic. :p
