Anybody else here using Netscape 6.0 to surf the net? I downloaded it last night and love it. Only, I'm having trouble with Mystic Wicks with it ... Everything is either really really HUGE or really really small, and I can't get my personal settings adjusted well enough to make it make sense. Even this response page is a right ~ the smilies are off the page and there's a scroll bar along the bottom of the screen. Highly irregular.

Can anybody help me out?

I tried it a few times and just had nothing but trouble with it ... I might d/l the latest version, but I use Opera 5.5 w/java a lot ... you can get a free version at www.opera.com ... it just has a banner add in the corner, that is NOT in the way at all ... or pay for the real version w/o banner ...

I tried Netscape 6 and couldn't stand it; too much like IE which I hate (Microsoft, or LittleLimp as I like to call it, SUCKS). I'll keep using Netscape 4.72 till it won't display any pages of the web anymore and then I'll switch over completely to Linux and Netscape or whatever will run on it.
I tried Opera a year or so back. I liked it pretty well until it locked up on me several times. Maybe they have improved.

Opera has improved a lot ... I have been using it since it was a teeny-tiny program ...

i'm hardly computer sophisticated, i have this big stone axe i keep for fixing computers but from what i read in fred langa's "langalist" newsletter 6.0 is still very buggy, almost a beta version that got released too soon. i'm using "internet explorer 5.5" and while it has its little quirks it's dumb enough that i can get along with it so i'll stick with it

Silly! LOL! 8O

We had IE 5.5, but when I installed Windows 2000 over the weekend, I downgraded us back to 5.0 because IE 5.5 was driving me batty. :bad: Everytime I'd "x" out of it, I'd get an "illegal operation" error ~ or worse. 90% of the time it didn't work right anyway, so that's why I thought I'd try the Netscape. Well, it's gone. I uninstalled. I tried to install the 4.77 version, but for some odd reason, it told me I didn't have enough space to install ~ just how big IS this program?!

Anyway. We're back to IE 5.0 and are staying there until somethign better comes along. Don't bother with IE 6.0, it's even worse than Netscape.

I get the illegal operation when I close IE 5.5 ... it has a Java problem if it does not think it's closed right, Sheesh! Haven't played with the IE 6.0 beta yet. Sometimes I use Opera 5.11 w/java ... it's small (only 9MB download) and fast, but a bit simple at times.

I've not fooled with Opera in a long time ~ I didn't like the interface first time I had it, three years ago.

Don't bother with IE 6.0
