I'm a little late.
Hope things went well for you, cause I can be nervous for you if you want.
I hate filling out applications and going on interviews. That's the main reason I stay on jobs for the long-term.

I think I did well, I was surprisingly calm, I generally don't have problems with oral exams and interwievs, but it was my first job interview. I will know if I got the job in the beginnig of August (they have one more candidate). Thanks again for your support and energy, it helped me very much!

Em~

I have always when looking for a job, gone in in advance and gotten an application and brought it home to fill out. Once home I would complete the forms and then sprinkle ginger and marigold on them for luck in business. As I got older, I did the same with my resume. When I was looking recently for a job, I only sprinkled the marigold and ginger on my cover letter (ya have to pay attention to details). The job I have now, when I faxed over my cover letter and resume, the only thing that went through was my cover letter. I was offered the job on the phone.

Keep us posted!

Blessed be.

ChelleofShadows:

This is a serious question.

I have a 2nd interview Wednesday for not the perfect job, but pretty close (flex hours, benefits to die for, 5 mins from home). They have my resume and cover letter, obviously, and it's 2 hours of re-interviewing and program tests (Word, scanning software, forms software). Is there a way I can adapt your method? And if so, what about the ginger? I have marigolds in my garden, but only frozen gingerroot and powdered ginger in the pantry.

I've never done anything like this before, obviously. Just ask WandererinGray.:blushake:

OK here is what I would do. First let me say I have a silver sharm ball which I use and wear around my neck one a chain. As well I have a cheap very thin silver chain necklace and bracelet (WalMart $15 for both) which I put various stone beads on. You can find the beads at your local craft or bead store. Charm balls can be ordered from online or found in many wiccan-pagan stores and are not only a very attractive piece but you can use it regularly for strength, health, self assurance charms, etc...

In my charm ball (you can make a bag) I would put 7 marigold petals, 7 shavings of ginger ( I buy ginger root at the store and cleanse and bless it at home), 7 flakes of Lucky Hand (this may not be accessible by Wednesday, I order it from online) and as well, 7 chunks of turquise, malachite, tiger's eye and rose quartz (buy the stones and smash them with a hammer or buy 7 beads). As well if you have any piece of jewelry made of amethyst, wear it! I have amethyst and malachite earrings. I buy a lot of Silver Forest pieces as they use various stones. You can also make your own, everything is usually readily accessible at your local craft or bead store.

The ritual is pure kitchen magick and you must choose your own words, I personally incorporate charming the herbs and stones with a thanks to the elements ritual. I wear various stones every day either on the bracelet or the necklace which I wear inside my clothes.

Tuesday night before the interview, I would perform a ritual to either your God/Goddess or the elements for strength and clarity. As well put a piece of blessed rosemary under your pillow for a good rest.

Now a lot of people will go into the never make a charm bag without tying the seven knots etc..... I do not do that, even when I use a bag (mine is a little leather mojo bag I bought at the craft store and beaded myself). You need to do whatever makes you feel the best and most positive.

I strongly advise that you do some research on the powers of various stones and herbs and choose the ones you feel will bolster you where you need. Almost everything you would ever want to learn you can find online.

I also advise you check into Magick and Rituals here at MW, there is a lot of great ideas there. Hmmmmmmmm I think that about covers everything.

Oh just remember anything you use for magick needs to be cleansed and blessed from any negative energy. This is especially important if you buy antique jewelry or something from a yard sale or pawn shop. People leave marks on these things which need to be erased.

Good Luck on the interview, I wish you well!!! I'm sending lots of positive energy your way. :)

Chelle:

Thank you for those great instructions. I will do my best to follow them.

This job would actually be doing some good for the world, as well: it's a government-funded place that creates forms and a huge database for adult & pediatric AIDS research. It would be a very good thing to support my family and be doing positive healing work at the same time.

Well, that's over. 2.5 hours creating 2 complex forms from scratch in Word, proofing a third, and writing a paragraph of why I like living in this are of the country. I learned I did make the final cut of 3, and they'll let us know tomorrow or Friday.

Thanks for all the positive energy. Chelle, I did create part of your suggested magick. Wish me luck!

I got the offer! :boing:

They called a few minutes ago. It's (of course?) less $$ than I wanted, but the benefits kick butt. I do have another interview tomorrow and they want to know by Thursday. So I'll sit with the DH and weigh benefits vs. $$ vs. the intangibles.

Again, thank you to everyone who lit candles and sent energy. I *know* you made a difference.
