My friends and I are big on made-up words and phrases. What's yours? Here's a couple of mine:

Yoink! :nyah:
Crap-and-a-half!:(
Shnoik!
Doff! (used to overlap any string of profanity. It's very useful when you get mad at referees. :D)
(my dad's) He on that like a hobo on a hammie!

Hehe, I say 'yoink' too. Usually when snatching some fries or something. :D
I'll call overly pretty, feminine, lacy, frilly things 'flerfy', too. I'm not too sure where that one came from, long time ago I think.

Nertz IS a Homer Simpson word. :)

My family uses

Womper-jawed -- basically means like REALLY messed up and weird (that thing's all womper-jawed)
Tump -- to fall over ( that thing tumped over)

My friends and I say

Confusement -- the state of confusion (I'm in Confusement!)
Thinkining -- Thinking

And OMG Artemis, I say everything and a half! Crap and a half, that was a foul and a half...and so forth.

Bia-Biznatchie -- just like saying Biznatch... :2G::D

There's lots more, but I can't think of them.

Craptacular - for when words fail to sum up the wonder of something.
Engrish - for those japanese-to-english translations that don't quite work.
Crexy - kinda creepy, kinda sexy. Crexy.
Misunderestimated - something Dubya said once, and I'll never forget it now. I can't believe you guys elected him down there!

Actually back when I was in high school, there was a little "catchphrase" type thing we used to say at ballgames.
"Thunk! Rawwr, hiss hiss" we were the panthers to help explain the screech and hissing, dunno the deal on the thunk.

Heh, I like "flerfy". I've been known to describe things as "floofy".

The only other one that comes to mind is "schwa". It's not technically a made-up word, but it's got a pretty specific definition (it is, iirc, the word used to describe the short "uh"-type vowel which comes at the end of words like "banana" and "under". Ah, the joys of studying linguistics). I use it for all sorts of random things, but very rarely for its actual intended purpose. I don't know, it just struck me as a funny word.

My stepmom's family word was

Piddlefartin' -- better than saying 'dicking around'

and my brother got me saying "What's his head" ... just as rude as whatsizface :D:D

Sequoia

my brother oftentimes says "WHAT THE BOB DOLE?!" instead of "what the h*ll!!" and he got me saying it. . . LOL

I say "hihi!" instead of "hi!" or "hello!", I got that from my sissy. . . hihi Tiffu!!

OOH I use Engrish too!

I say "kyuu" sort of like "*sigh* oh no. . . " or "hmm?" or just as a sound to make hehe or if I"m surprised I go "KYAA??"

I also say "baka" a lot, but that's Japanese. . . hehe

I say "Stupidhead" -_-;;; I figure it's better than "@ss|-|ole"

Hmmmm....I've swiped a few Homerisms too (like Yoink, sweet merciful crap, sacrilicious, d'oh! and probably several others)

Congraduation! (short for congrats on graduating)

York - to harm yourself
Yergit - a sensitive body part that can be yorked (Ooohh...he yorked his yergit, poor fellow)

Ginormous (combo of gigantic and enormous)

Boozshy-boo - a cute baby or small animal

wagger - an exclamation of disgust, esp. when something tastes bad (you stick your tongue out and use the back of your throat to make the "g" sound really gaggy)

snarf - when you laugh and shoot your drink out your nose

chuke - when you're puking and you choke

chiggle - chuckle/giggle

crapvalanche - when you open a closet or cabinet door and a TON of junk comes flowing out

Biccan - a wiccan that does nothing but b*tch about people not doing things "right" (actually, that one was in an email I got, but I thought it was clever)

kipe (this one might be real) - to steal or "borrow"

Ohhh...I'm sure there's more... I make words up every day, I think. ;) Crapvalanche is my most recent one, I've been overusing it lately.

Okay, first off - fannying about
This means to waste time and muck about

Hoozering This is a great word from my childhood. I used it to describe cutting the grass, my Dad shaving his face, and Mum hoovering the floor. Also wolfing down food.

Some great Scottish words that are seldom used - Hoolet - meaning owl, tattie houking (probably spelt wrong!) - stealing potatos from someone's farm or land, and Dreich which describes gloomy weather.

the made up words I use are just all-purpose exlamations, usually spoken during prolonged periods of bordem.

examples:

blar
fnerg
snoo

but then there are the words that i regularly take out of context to replace the word "cool". my favorites being:

kinky and kermit

and i often steal Simpsons ones too. my favorites are:

jeebus
snacktacular
saxamaphone
okily dokily (sp?)

Have found myself using that word alot... *laugh*

cannie generally means "can not"
Sorry to be so picky, but the spelling of Scottish words gives a lot to their meaning over here! :)
