Every once-in-a-while we all find some very cool specimens for sale on the web that we may not be interested in for some reason but find cool enough to share with others who may be interested in them... at least I come across a lot of these. With this in mind I thought I would start a thread pertaining to these specimens.
Here is the first such sample. I have bought many specimens from this dealer and he is probably the best e-bayer I have dealt with. This is a cool specimen of Flourite which is utterly amazing. It is from a find in China and something this size would normally go for a lot so it will be curious what this sells for. If I was into Flourite I would definately buy this piece.

I already have a sample of this and found it to be an amazing and very unusual type of Quartz. It comes from Nazca Peru and reminds me a lot of the ancient carvings found on the floor of the Nazca plains as well as the Toltec culture.. the specimen comes from the same dealer mentioned above and right now the bidding is LOW!!! I got a sample smaller than this and payed $40.00 for it so if it stays below $50.00 it will be a steal in my opinion. You wont find this type of quartz from this location often. This is only the third specimen I have ever seen. The other 2 I own. I`m not sure if it is a new find or not but it isnt common material.

WOW.. that's expensive... even for Tanzanite
usually offline I`ve seen tanzanite crystals at half that amount. but for people who never saw one i would say this is a good pic of it.
Maybe I should post updates on this, if anyone decides to buy it.

Here's a look at something completely different. Although this mineral does form naturally due to oxidization the specimens coming from this mine were formed by a fire in the mine and thus are considered man caused. The redness found in this specimen is seldom if ever found in natural pieces so it is eye catching but purist collectors shy away from specimens from here.... never-the-less it os cool looking. I'm curious what it will sell for.

Here is a real rarity... This i the third one I have seen for sale in my life and I got the other 2... a 6 pointed Staurolite and what many consider to be the true faerie cross. Most people are familiar with the "+" shaped one and also with the "X" shaped one. If you are at all into these then I would urge you to consider this. The energies are amazing and for $50.00 US it is a good price. I was tempted to but it but thought this one is not meant for me a it is something I already have.
I have dealt with the dealer before 3 times and never had an issue with him.

This mine is also the same mine which produces the pink garnets as well as several other types.... I've got 2 specimens from there and they are so cool... dont have a piece of the green stuff though...

This may sound unusual but here is something you do not see often.. a piece of native Iron. The vast magority of Iron you find is mixed with other minerals... to find it in this form is extremely rare.... this, along with iron meteorites, must be the ultimate anchor/grounding stone.

this has got to be one of the nicest little quartz crystals with rutile inclusions I have seen. It's completely natural and has not been polished.
Gonna be interesting to see what it sells for.. shouldn't be too much as it looks like the tip is dinged.

thanks wolfsong.
i had it up for an ebay auction once at a rather high price, but considering the unicity of the piece, not too high alltogether.
got a message from a prospective client, saying:
"its so sad when esoterics with little income try to sell off. if you name a reasonale price, i am willing to buy"
to which i replied:
its so sad when collectors with not enough money recources try to bargain a unique piece under its value. as soon as you have the reqired sum, you are free to buy the piece at its current price.
he never answered back.

thanks Czech... its from Ilsfeld, Baden-Wüttemberg, Germany. I was talking to a guy who says this stuff is quite common there and that this piece is smallish compared to others from the area. It would be a cool place to visit... especially if there is a rock hounding club in the area.

I think this has to be one of the most amazing pieces of Quartz I have ever seen (it has 5 other mnerals attached or included in it)...it comes from one of the most popular mines out there right now. Minerals from this mine are saught after extensively by collectors and dealers.... gonna be curious to see what it sells for as the tip of this crystal seems totally undamaged which is extremely rare for a crystal this size without being polished.

I've been casually eyeing that piece for some time now as well Czech .. he has had it posted for some time now... having dealt with him on many occasions I think he would let this piece go for 375 or maybe even less... it is beautiful though and 450 isnt unreasonable at all for it. Wow... just wow.... I've seen some of these that are large enough for a person to actually sit in.... I've often wondered what it would be like to meditate in one which is large enough to get comfortable in.... I know i use mine for cleansing other stones/minerals when I can't wait for a full moon or other natural events and it works great... I've also heard mention before that these are used by some to represent Merlin's cave as some believe when he secluded himself in nature and in a cave the cave was crystal lined... interesting idea....

Here are some really cool gold specimens (second pic down links to them) which were up for sale at the Tuscon show which just ended this weekend. They were found in Nevada.. I'm not a fan of gold but these really stand out in my opinion.
The Silver from Kongsberg are also really neet (last pic at the bottom of the page). Kongsberg has been producing silver for hundreds of years and the vast majority of the silver used in early royal jewelry from all over Europe and Russia came from these mines.
If you follow the links on this page you will also find a really good set of reports which show some of the more unique stuff on sale at this years show...
