I have tried lots of different dream books but I find them difficult to take in I have a few dreams I just can't understand and I wondered if anyone had any idears to help me. The most confusing but most vivid one was like a slasher movie I was running away from this guy all dressed in black and he was chaseing after me trying to stab me to death with a French Bread Stick. Yes I know it's silly but I was very frightened when I woke from it untill I thought how silly it was and it made me laugh but I've never been able to figure it out any help would be greatfully recived

No, it's not silly, but I did get a giggle out of the guy chasing you with a breadstick....

Being chased is usually a metaphor for insecurity or feeling that your emotions are out of control. It can also represent guilt or fear of getting caught or being exposed and of course, running away from something. The dreamer may be trying to avoid some aspect of self or circumstances that he or she doesn't want to face.

You are the best interpeter of your own dreams, so possibly you can connect your fear to one of the above issues. An excellent book for beginners is The Hidden Meaning of Dreams by Craig Hamilton-Parker. It includes both psychological and mystical meanings for dream symbols.

Thanks for the help I will look out for the book and if I see it I'll give it a look over.
The dream has been looked into now and I have a better idear what it means so I can finaly put it to bed
