What are some interesting meditations you've created? Here's one of mine it's called the antlion meditation designed to suck down harmful thoughts, illnesses and the like. All that you really need physically for is those magnetic hematite stones or any magnet will do really.
(Those suckers are expensive they never let you buy just one!) Cluster the magnets at your feet, and start visualizing the ant lion's crafty trap,
(for those who don't know about antlion's or the way they hunt here's a link) create the energy construct and let the magnets start dragging down negative thoughts, emotions, and illnesses through your body down to your feet and into the magnets. When you're done just cleanse the nagnets till next time. Now let's hear more about your own meditations! Thanks and credit given to Antlions for their inspiration.

When I was a young girl, around junior high age, I started to have problems with depression. I taught myself to "breathe a smile" as I termed it then. It was years before I realized that this was a sort of meditation. I still use this throughout the day and almost every day in order to quickly and firmly take control of my depression/thoughts/mood.

I imagine that all my emotions are "riding the wave" of my breath as I inhale and exhale. In order to "bring in" the good feelings, I have to first make room by getting rid of the "bad". So, taking deep breaths, I exhale and as I do so, I give in to the negativity that I'm feeling... whether it's depression, anger, anxiety... doesn't matter. I frown as I exhale and I tense my muscles. Usually I find that my posture naturally reflects this feelings. I imagine that I am pushing these negative feelings out of my body with my breath.

And then I reverse the process. I inhale. I force myself to stand up, look up, and most importantly smile. I imagine that I am bringing calm peace and happiness within myself. Typically, the first few sets of deep cleansing breaths are strong on the negative and weak / forced on the positive. My smile is breif and forced.... but as I continue, I find that this reverses... more and more as I bring in more positive energy, my smile stays on my face... I have to consciously drop the smile... eventually... there is nothing left BUT the smile and teh positive energy.

Soemtimes this takes as little as 4-5 breaths, sometimes I concentrate and use this meditation for several mintues before bringing myself into a mindset that I prefer.

Umm the Firebreath orgasm. Not really meditation, but I was in a meditative state and the breathing and movement of my body brought it on. I just intuitively knew the technique :)

I have created a meditation that I use in binding negative people or things in my life. It involves a black spiral and visually pushing the person or thing down to the center of the spiral. I have found that it helps me alot stay focussed and let go of those people or things.

Another one I created is more of a guided meditation that was inspired by a group meditation with the tree and grounding ones self... My meditation though involves the eagle and becoming the eagle .... I think I am going to have to go find the book I wrote that in...

Also I am in the process of creating mediations that will be included with my meditation deck so when I have more I will post :D

I created a meditation that involves two of the Ogham (Heather and Blackthorn), a healing well and Brighid (thought it could be adapted for any god). The purpose of the meditation is to free yourself of negativity and fear that is holding you back, and then let the healing well show you the person that you want to become and help give you strength to manifest that. I chose the Heather because of its association with Brighid and its emphasis on gentle healing, self love and just generally good self esteem. The Blackthorn helps you center yourself in the face of adversity, so in the meditation I take a ribbon from my pocket, charge it with all my fears and anxieties and then pierce the ribbon on a thorn, letting the Blackthorn and the earth absorb all of that energy. Then I step over to the healing well and focus on the positive aspects I want to manifest and this is where Deity can come in and give you any messages you need to hear. I wash my face with waters from the healing well and feel refreshed, shields renewed.

This was created for an Imbolc ritual, hence the focus on Brighid. I have given this to two people who are empaths and devotees of Brighid and they told me it helped them sleep and release the emotions of others.

letting your vision defocus and then becoming aware 'seeing' everything in your field of view

basic but cool
