Clearly I am a Bears Fan- so this is the BEST news ( though the Bears have beaten the Packers the last 2 years)

But in all honesty, 17 years as an amazing ( I will NEVER admit I said this) quarterback, and an actual positive role model for children.

Just like Michael Vick. Oh wait...

He does deserve the easy life after all these years. He was a good role model for young athletes and a good quarterback...even if I did get sick and tired of hearing his name.

I do wish the Packers would've made it to the Super Bowl though, so he could've ended his career on a high note. I felt bad when they got shut down in the playoffs.

Hey now MV is a summer's eve and the bag it came in! Brett Farve has been a positive in pro sports.

Couldnt have been soon enough... freaking has been. The only "superstar" with more interceptions than touchdowns last season...

And that crybaby act he pulled in his retirement speech "Just can't give any more".... what ever...

He will never be a Joe Montana. Hell, he was barely a John Kitna....

He's great and all, but I really wish the news would give all the speculation about him a rest. He's retired, let him be!!! :p (/off rant)

I love Brett. He played his entire career with that boyish enthusiasm to win. The smiles when he was winning and taking it when he was losing. LOVE HIM.

Man, he's going to drive his wife NUTS being retired. LOL

I'll believe it when he doesn't play for this entire season and next as well.

As soon as the Vikings start to suck, or one of their other QBs get hurt, the speculation and b/s will start all over again!

I know...

The man had a great record, is still intact.. why risk it? I am not saying 39 is old.. but to be hit by 300lb defensive linemen?? Ya have to wonder.

Yes, please don't say 39 is old. Or I'll cry. I'm quite emotional today. ;)

Now I have to find a new hottie to cheer for during football season.

Oh I can't cheer for Da Bears. I'm leaning toward the cute kid from the Jets. LOL
I'm only loyal to two teams, the Yankees and the NY Rangers. Football, who ever has the best lookin' QB and I didn't have to change for a really long time. Now Brett is retired. *sigh*

ETA: That's right Tony, I said the dreaded name outloud...the YANKEES!!! LOL

The lines here have been drawn...

You're either a Favre fan... or a Green Bay fan. Watching this whole thing has been kind of amusing for a Bears fan... but I'm pretty sick of hearing about the man.

I hope Aaron et. all wipe the floor with Farve and the queens.

May all the Vikings undergarments be laced with itching powder and the whiney-glory-seeking Favre can cry wee wee wee all the way home.

but i'm not bitter or anything.

A true packer fan would understand.....
