Dear Friends All ~
I try to keep my mass-emailings to a minimum, and today I blind-carbon-copied this as it's going to most everyone in my address book. I received this from my mom this morning and am sitting here on IM discussing this with her. The news about Zachie is hard to swallow. If everyone could please keep us in your thoughts, the family would appreciate this very much. I have left my mom's e-mail address attached in case anyone would like to drop her a note.

Subject: prayers needed
Everyone I have some prayer request in regards to my grandchild and son..
My 2 1/2 year old grandson Zach may have a brain tumor or an aneurysm which
in either case would mean brain surgery in the near future..He has been dropping to his knees with a headache..He calls it his "headpain" but anyway
this is not normal.
Eddie the childs father has to have surgery the 15th of htis month on his shoulder to repair it..it has already disabled him from his Paramedic position but they are hoping it is fixable to use at a desk type job.. he has
lost most of its use..this is Zachs father..
Then Zachs mom went to the doctor yesterdayand found she may have some type ofcartiac problem and she is very young too I guess you all know that they are divorced but hse is still the mother of my grandkids..they are also testing her for a brain tumor too but she has already had one when she was
younger..
Anyway whether married or not they have got their plates full with health problems as young as they are..
I know this prayer chain has worked for many of us before and I hope and pray it owrks this week as well as it has before..
Love you all
and appreciate it each and everyone of you
Kathy

You and your family will all be in my thoughts. I will also ask the Sisters to pray for you all even as I will be. See, there is a perk to living on campus with the convent. :)
Be well Mari and remember to take care of yourself right now too.

Well, he went to the dr Friday, as scheduled, but was too young to do the MRI, the dr said. So they're going back on Thursday for something. Ridiculous if you ask me. Keep those candles lit!

Mairwen, you and your family are in my thoughts.
My grandmother had an anuerysm a year or two ago and had to have surgery. The doctors said that the more than likely scenario would be that she'd be permanently brain dead or otherwise greatly damaged, if she did survive at all. She had her operation, and is still alive today, with all brain cells functioning, completely normal. :)
Thought that might... I don't know, give a bit more hope? Cheer you up a little? Either way, I'll light a candle for you. :)

Well, Zachie went back to the doctor this morning, but the MRI still wasn't done. He was actually scheduled for it today. Thing was, the nurses were supposed to have done something before the doc got there, and they didn't ~ so they couldn't do the test. We're all hopping mad ... Don't know what is going to happen next.

I bet--how annoying and the nurses job are vital to the MRI they have to relax him and get the electrodes hooked up--I have an anaroid cyst on the top of my brain that can not be removed without two things happening 1) I become a vegatable
2) I pass over
Right at this time and point in my life I am in no hurry for either one.
Does your son seizure?
If so does he recover quickly?
Are they Grand mal seizures?
(I have had seizures since I was 18 years old bad thing happened which caused my problems--anyway mine involved head trauma)
I asked out of curiosity and having gone through it and still am I know exactly what you and Zach are feeling---I'm here for you when ever you wish!!!
See the one thing I was always relieived of was that it happened to me and not my sons.
As a mother I know you're frustration with the medical game you all have to endure.
Now I mean no offense to any medical personnel.

*sigh* I hear you Mairwen. I'm sorry everything that needs to be done for Zachie has become so frustratingly complex. You would think that the life of a child would spur people to make things happen like they're supposed to. *hugs* Keep us posted and I'll continue praying. :heartthro

Me either! We hope to have you here as a vital part of this community for many, many moons! 8O
Does your son seizure?
This is my nephew, but no, he doesn't ~ not that we're aware of, anyway. He just occasionally complains of massive headaches.

Well, I am a mother, so I thank you for this line. It's something all mothers need to hear occasionally. :D
