Last night I had a very interesting dream about a grasshopper laying on my foot. In my dream, I let the grasshopper lay the eggs, and did what I could to keep it safe. Despite this, each time it layed an egg, it pierced through my skin as if not to let go. Even though it was a dream, i was in real pain. Pain as in squirming in my bed, tossing and turning, and so on. The grasshopper was moving around my toe, laying the eggs in the cracks at the base of the toe. There were about 50 of them in total. The grasshopper was fat and small, and vibrantly green.
I know the grasshopper represents confusion and complexities ahead, and all that, but i was hoping for a deeper interpretation. I have yet to find a site that depicts the meaning of the grasshopper having an affect on a person. In real life, I am currently dealing with a job I am finding myself trapped in. Not fully reading the job description, I have recently applied for a job that i didnt really know what was about, and was hired before i realized its something completely different from what i expected. I am feeling stressed, although am trying to stay optimistic and make the best out of it. For the next two months, i am also juggling school, and see little spare time in my future until i finish the term.
One more thing. This is seperate from the dream, but may also be related. The other day i was on my computer, doing something completely in my own world, when i heard a snap from across the room. I went to see what it was. A dream catcher of mine that was made for me by a family friend had suddenly snapped in two. It hasnt been moved or touched in at least 6 months, except for the occational breeze from my air conditioner, but now lies in two pieces. Specifically a metal eagle that sat in the center of the dream catcher. The dream catcher itself is very important to me, however, i feel that the occurance is of signifant importance, and could be trying to tell me something. What might this symbolize?
