Hi everyone!
I was just wondering what decks everyone is eager to get! Personally, there are two I hope to get soon, one is Tarot, the other is not.
The Shapeshifter Tarot from D J Conway and
The Druid Animal Oracle from Philip Carr-gomm
How about you?
TheWomanMonster
March 7th, 2008, 02:30 PM

Possibly the Graven Images Oracle. I do so like the look of it, but the interpretation system they created to go with it kind of irks me.
My wife and I have been talking about designing a deck ourselves, but we've always been bigger talkers than doers when it comes to big projects like that.
She's currently on the lookout for a new deck, as well. She's thinkin' Thoth.

Well, a purchase won't be for a while, since I only got the Gilded (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/gilded/) recently, but I do want:
The Da Vinci Tarot (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/leonardo-da-vinci/)
Shadowscapes Tarot (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/shadowscapes/)
The second won't be finished until 2009, so I've got to wait for that one anyhow.

I checked out the tarot decks in my local Pagan/New Age shop, there are many to choose from but none that I truly liked. So as soon as I get to England I will let my boyfriend show me their Pagan Shop cuz apparently they had tarot too. Or I might order.
But the decks I am currently interested in are:
Lurianic Tarot (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/lurianic/) - beautiful Kabbalah related images
Native American Tarot (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/native-american-2/) - I love the animal theme in this
Samurai Tarot (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/samurai/) - this one just looks really cool & I love anything Japanese
Manga Tarot (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/manga-minetti/) - oh I totally love this one, it's so beautiful and I feel this strong connection to it
Power of the Runes (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/power-runes/) - I love the Old Norse theme!<33
Tarot of the Thousand and One Night (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/1001-nights/index.shtml) - Exotic & Arabic
Gothic Tarot (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/gothic-vargo/) - this is just uber cool!
Tarot of Atlantis (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/atlantis/) - I love the Atlantis myth

The next deck I want to get is the Druid Plant Oracle, to complete my set with the DruidCraft Tarot and the Druid Animal Oracle - same artist, same authors. I struggle from time to time with the Animal Oracle, but I really like it and I looooove the Druid Craft Tarot - it was the first deck I ever got that REALLY resonated with me and I found readings so easy to give with it. It was like the lightbulb over my head.

My Tarot budget for the month, for the next few months, is completely blown. I've been trying to limit myself to one $20 deck a month, but that hasn't been going so well :rotfl: This month I've bought about 6 or 7 decks, including spending $80 on a single deck.... The Tarot of the Orishas. And so far, it's kicking my ass, but worth it.

Circle of Life Tarot Deluxe (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/073871299X/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&v=glance) This one is new to me and I'm drawn to it.

My Gummy Bear Tarot arrived today! 'Tis quite adorable :) The LWB is especially a wonderful and insightful one.....you don't get to say that too often about LWB's! But this one has some great knowledge and insight.
I got my notice that The Paulina Tarot has shipped, should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. I am simply beside myself with glee and anticipation. That's one of the very best parts of deck buying.....the delicious agonizing wait!
The Paulina was supposed to have been published in late October last year. But alas, USG is always mega late with their deck releases. I personally would have loved a different name for the deck. Something more with a more faerie ambience or fairytale sound to it.

My Shapeshifter trade hasn't arrived yet, I know they got their deck, so I'm hoping tomorrow! :)

Well I do have the Golden Tarot of Klimt on it's way. I ordered it almost 2 weeks ago but they took a week to ship, not here yet.
Today I ordered the brand new Dame Fortunes Wheel Tarot by Paul Huson.
I am have been waiting for this exquisite deck to be published for soooo long. He created it years ago and could never find a publisher. Finally Lo Scarabeo picked it up and decided on publishing it!
Huson wrote the witty, wonderfully researched and fascinating book "Mystical Origins of the Tarot: From Ancient Roots to Modern Usage". I've read this book many times, love it.
He incorporates the TdM and Eitella together in his deck for meanings and inspiration of the images. It's like a modern Tdm with stories in the minors, very unique!
It'll be a good few months before it shows up in the US, so I ordered it from Alida in Italy. Lo Scarabeo's deck are always released 2-6 months in Europe before they get to the US. I just couldn't wait! They should be here next week.

I posted a month ago that I was expecting my Dame Fortune's Wheel Tarot to arrive soon...
Was not to be. My retarded bank always has issues if I attempt to buy something "overseas". They declined it and then called me to authorize the purchase, which I did. Nope they STILL declined it 2x when the poor guy at Alida tried to run the card through. UGH. So I let it go for awhile......
THEN I tried Tarot Chest in the UK, they also had it for much cheaper than Alida. Nope, declined there too.
FINALLY net shop Playing Card Sales in France came through and the deck was bought and sent this last Monday. Jeezum Crow.
Something sure made me WORK for my deck this time! I suppose I could have waited for it to arrive in the US, but that could be months from now! Oh the horror! Hehe.
At the moment I am re-reading Huson's book Mystical Origins of the Tarot in anticipation.....I love being reminded just how excellent and wonderful the book is, and learning so many new insights the 2nd time around.
Sooooo, finally I shall have the Dame Fortune's Wheel in a week or so...I've been waiting years for it and honestly never thought it would find a publisher!
