I was reading Silver Raven Wolf's book: To Ride a Silver Broomstick last night and I noticed that she stated the following:
"I began with the deities of the Dianic Tradtion because they appealed to me the most. The major deities of this tradition are: Diana (Mother of Aradia) Selene, Hecate, Kernunous and Pan." I thought Dianic tradtions worshipped the Goddess only. Am I mistaken or is she talking about a different Tradition?
Thanks,

As far as i am aware, The Dianic tradition predominantly worships the Goddess with little mention of a male god, however, i do believe that some circles/covens worship the male deity as well. I am gonna grab a bite to eat and then i'll do a search for you

Okies, i did some checking and as far as i can see the Dianic traditions worship the female deity almost exclusively. One or two search results show that on occasion some circles/covens will include the male deity but it is always regarded with less importance as the female. However, this is a minority and it was perhaps wrong for Silver Ravenwolf to state that "the main deities are ... " Perhaps you would be interested in these links below, they are not on the discussion of Dianic Wicca but rather on Silver Ravenwolf herself and her writing.

I can't understand why Silver Raven Wolf would state that male deities would be a part of the Dianic tradition. To be honest, I only know a bit about the Dianic tradition. From my understanding, the Dianic tradition became quite popular in the 1960s, a time when the feminist movement really began to take off. Mainly, women are into this tradition; however, I do know that some gay men are into this. In this tradition, I thought that ONLY goddesses were worshipped. Hmmmm, if there are male deities who are worshipped in the Dianic tradition, why would Pan be one of them? I always think of Pan as being a god associated with carnal pleasure.
