Labradorite

Here's a question...

Not sure if this is the right room for questions about crystals, but anyway...

On my 21st B'day, which was just around about the time when I started to learn about wicca/paganism etc, I was given a large and BEAUTIFUL labradorite pendant by my maternal Grandmother (actually, this stone is quite hypnotic), a neclace of Labradorite by my mum, and two rings made with... you guessed it, Labradorite by my partner... I spoke to someone about this and he reckoned it was significant in some way...
I have done a few searches and have found out that it has connections with witchery and the psychic realms, but nothing particularly in depth, SO any thoughts anyone??

What does it all mean?!

I love Labradorite. It is so beautiful & the catches of colours are so hypnotic. I have a egg shape crystal that I love to hold in my hands. I also have several bracelets made with this. And I have a labradorite bead on my meditaion bracelet representing the soul.

There's a really good description in Melody's book..."Love is in the Earth". In a nutshell, Labradorite helps protects your aura, keeps it clear & balanced, free from energy leaks. It aligns & enhances the connection between physical & ethereal. Her book gives a very indepth description of the stone. Worthwhile checking it out. After reading that, I knew right away that labradorite was the perfect stone for soul stone of my meditation bracelet.

Wow! I love Labradorite too ~ I carry it with me to calm and protect my aura.
I cant really tell you anything more than Wildchild...
Maybe the arent telling you something ;) and actually planned to buy the necklace and rings seperately so they would go? Or maybe they wanted to buy you a crystal and really thought Labradorite was you!
Why dont you try meditating while wearing your rings and necklace and see what happens!

I bought a Labradorite necklace for my sister last Yule, it was gorgeous! It's a beautiful stone. Here's some info from Sheril Berkovitch's book "Crystal Workbook".

LABRADORITE

An opaque, grey stone that shimmers with blue and green iridescence. A member of the feldspar family. It is found in the Malagasy Republic as a labradorite-moonstone, clear with brilliant blue highlights. Also known as Spectrolite.

Chakra: The 3rd eye and Crown in particular, but can be worn anywhere on the body with equally good effect.

Labradorite will answer your questions about your spiritual purpose. Utilise it for accessing the Akashic Records. It accelerates telepathic abilities and assists communication with your Higher Self. Helps balance and stabilise the movement of the Kundalini. An excellent meditation stone.

In ancient Scandinavia, labradorite was used as an oracle by the indigenous peoples, and it can be beneficially utilised in a similar fashion in this age. It was definately not a planned thing! And thank you all for your info... I think that it is significant in that it's important in my searching on my new path, and hopefully will help, Much appreciated... Will check out that book, which had actually been mentioned to me before... so will definately have a look.
