Rhodochrosite

Rhodochrosite:

There are several different forms of this and from what I hear they all have different properties. The specimen pictured below is the only form I have ever had the chance to work with and although many people find many uses for Rhodochrosite pertaining to relationships, love, honesty and matters of the heart (it is considered to be a stronger and more powerful mineral in regards to these matters than any other mineral out there including rose quartz) I have never used it for these matters so hopefully somone else can speak on them.

My use for this form of Rhodochrosite delves more towards more controversial areas of work involving sacrifice (Nothing Living) and work regarding personal attacks on any level and the use of this mineral to end such attacks. Seeing this is a touchy subject at best I'll leave it at that.

This is also a very useful mineral when working with Aztec, Toltec and other cultures from Southwestern South America.

I think this is the first time I saw them as gemmy.

Also there is Rhodonite. Which is another stone altogether and has very little to do with Rhodochrosite. The spellings are similar so sometimes you might get confused as I did.

Never worked with Rhodochrosite.

one of my favourite stones , unfortunatly very hard to find here in that depth of red , particularly in jewellery , cool to see it in it's uncut and polished form too
