When I was little, I could use my finger to mash down on my closed eyelids, and see things. I'm not gonna rattle off into what I saw, but I did it again last night, out of curiosity. I only let myself see one thing, then I take my fingers off my eyelids. What I saw what a pair of gold drama masks. Well, today was travelling day, my family's on a vacation to Florida. We were looking fo eating places, and on the way I saw a gold/yellow builing with dark green drama masks. Not a common thing. I forget the name of th place though. That was just too freaky I've never been here before either. Sure it wasn't exact, but close enough. I may try it every night of this trip. Just to validate it. Can anyone else do this?

Don't press too hard, you might harm your eyes. The pressure of your fingers is stimulating the rods and cones, and it's also slightly deforming your eyeballs, which sends random messages to the optic nerves. That's why you see things; your mind interprets these random optic signals as it wills.

I don't mean to rain on your parade. Just do be careful and don't do this on a regular basis, you may well harm your eyes, and you wouldn't want that to happen.

I used to do this as a little kid, too. I saw amazing patterns in the wildest colors.

I must have pressed too hard, though, because I'm blind as a bat now. (Yes, I know. Bats aren't completely blind. Neither am I.)

yeah, I know about the damage, I'm a little nearsighted, meaning I can see pretty decently, just don' expect me to read anything from far away. Of course my childhood habit of sitting in front of the tv probably didn't help matters.
